The formula, let the bass go, mind blowing! The whole album “!No one can do it better”! 💯

Yo recently i was smoking and was high as hell listening to The Formula and I randomly DMd The DOC on instagram and had to give him his flowers cause that fucking beat and just his flow was CRAZY to me and yo he deadass replied back saying “AYEEEEEE” that shit made my day 😂 crazy cause im 25 but i know good music and just that old school west coast vibe.

Yo I'm 40 and I can tell u 1st hand this was real rap. I can't speak on nothin before 1989 but I miss when the best rappers were puttin out dope shit. Not trying to dance around, or make a "band", or throw weird ass parties.

To actually be there in the moment when The Formula and Funky Enough came out, it was definitely a time to be alive. One minute, New York was everywhere and then these dudes from Cali came from outta nowhere and changed everything AND THEN.. this dude come out with one of the hardest beats ever spitting like crazy. He deserves his flowers for his contributions.

A LEGEND! I remember buying the cassette and playing it until it fell apart. His first album, No One Can Do It Better is a classic that can rival any other classic in the game. The first line of the album "y'all ready for this?" let's you know to be prepared for the ride. It's funky, will blow your mind when they let the bass go! You will understand the formula of The DOC and Dre create a near perfect album. Young'uns cop it and give it a shot. His other albums are raw even though his voice was never the same. Had his voice remained undamaged, people would speak his name in the same breath as Bigg, Pac, LL, Nas, Jay, Em, 50, Kane, Wayne, KRS1, Rakim, DMC, etc. MAD LOVE AND RESPECT TO THE DOC!

I don’t comment much; however, the fact that the people didn’t see to it he got his due is disappointing. His attitude about it makes it even more disappointing; as, someone this legit should have been sorted out correctly. Sadly, that’s not how the people operate. This is one talented and Proper human being. Massive respect. Thanks for all the good ya done D.O.C.
