The Dog Looks Disappointed…

The day started off with a van stuck on an icy hill, then a Toyota 4-Runner that slid into a snow covered ditch, and while heading back to town we came across an SUV that slid off the edge of the road and into the trees, so I pulled him out and back onto the road. Luckily he wasn’t injured, and he had very minimal damage to his vehicle, so he was able to drive it home afterwards. Once that was all done, we finished out the day with some frozen yogurt before heading home.

Hi Casey, I was the guy in the black Honda Pilot thank you so much for your amazing work and for being so kind. I was able to drive home no problem and get it up on my jack to check it over and there was no damage I could find to the underside or steering/suspension. So due to my luck and your professionalism and skill at recovering cars I've been able to still drive out to the coast to visit my grandma for Christmas. Also for anyone wondering due to labor costs that was still enough to total the pilot, but I happend to be looking for a car and this happened to expedite the search. Let this be a reminder to everyone out there this winter you can know how to drive in the snow and know a road backwards and forwards but that doesn't mean things still can't happen, for me it was a hidden patch of ice in the packed snow and was lucky I wasn't hurt, so drive safe everyone!

Man that kid got all sorts of lucky. Didn’t destroy his car, still drives straight, and a tow truck showed up minutes later to tow him out of there for free. Could not have gone any better.

AAA has left us stranded 3x. They left us stranded ON a busy freeway twice (no snow), and once in the middle of Nevadas high desert. They will never get another penny from me, or my family. We use GoodSams now. People are lucky to have Casey, someone needs to make him a 'super-saver' shirt, or cape, or both!

This reminds me of trying to find a Tow truck during COVID times! I was the only Towing service that answered the phone as everyone else seemed too afraid to help anymore. People were so glad, happy to see me as I arrived to help them out. Never take anything for granted folks as fate & karma might play with us. I so miss helping people out with my wrecker.

Casey, you must look like a guardian angel to the people stuck in the snow to come along just at the right time! That 4Runner looks like my 2017 Limited except I changed out the 20" Mall Crawler wheels and tires to better offroad ones.I also had installed the Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pro Stage 4 suspension kit. It makes all the difference in the world. This guy might want to change out these few parts so he won't get stuck again. Also, airing down on the tires gives you more traction but I know you know this already, Casey. BTW, you do outstanding recoveries to stranded motorists. 😁

@@jamessantiago9724 thank you! I can’t figure out why anyone would want Track N Go over a bolt on set of tracks. They are more work and take longer to setup than putting actual tracks on. You would have to do a steering upgrade with either one, but aside from that absolutely no modifications are needed for the tracks I run. Simply unbolt the wheels, and bolt the tracks on. It takes 20-30 minutes by yourself. The Track N Go setup requires multiple modifications to the vehicle, takes longer to setup, is bigger components to haul to the trail, and is less capable

Tire socks are great for traction. Better than chains from what I saw on video. California DOT officers will allow travel through the snowy mountains with tire socks from what I read. However they are difficult to put on if you’re already stuck (unless you jack the wheel off the ground), and they will tear up fast on dry pavement. Slushy snow is also a problem. Otherwise they’re great in other conditions
