Yeah this. This vid comes off a little salty for no reason. The way they built the cars was dictated by the fact that whatever mod they did had to have an expensive and cheap alternative. Also it's just entertainment, it's really not that serious. This is exactly why I hate the car scene now.

The whole season was terrible in my opinion. I expected way more from Nolan since he is a mustang guy and was in a drag racing team. He did all the wrong things. In their previous seasons they actually did cheap/expensive versions of the same parts. Why didn’t they do that with the mustangs? Cheap turbo kits vs expensive ones. Cheap fuel system vs expensive ones. Cheap drag pack vs expensive ones. Etc I could go on forever.

He's wrong. Coyotes HATE nitrous. They could have had a twin turbo kit a fuel system and been running 9s for slightly more money than nitrous setup. Steeda stop the hop rear set up would have made both those cars look stupid. My car Whipple 3.0 4in pulley 93 Lund tune headers exhaust and wheels tires under 50k. And I gapped McLaren 570s tuned. Low 11 high ten manual car. And I have no suspension mods yet. Stock clutch don't even have fuel system yet.

It's a significantly better representation of real life than showing just the cream of the crop builds. It can't be a legit carbon fiber hood then. It has to be mixed with something else. True carbon fiber hoods are Def lighter than factory hoods. They Def are not all created the same though.

Gutting a car is the cheapest ROI as far as Dollar per pound/horse. 2 identical car setups, only 1 is 75 lbs lighter, may only be .001 difference on the strip, but on a circuit or road track, weight is huge. Good show sir. Very much enjoyed this 😆

While i do agree that they don't know cars, the whole idea is to make money. They are an entertainment channel. Even if their next video is how to modify your car for beginners, then they head to autozone to buy stuff for the car, it will generate the views and generate money. That's why they do it. Now i don't know if they said they know cars and if that's what you're arguing against, then i'm not commenting on that. I am simply just stating that they can make a video about anything, whether it's right or wrong, whether they think is right or wrong, and they'll generate the views because that's what they're about. I'm not even a Mustang expert, or a drag racing expert, and I watched that series and was wondering what the absolute f*** they were doing. It made no sense! Half of their mods at least like video game mods. This isn't Need for Speed, and what they did made no difference in the end result. If it's not to do with launching harder it better be to do with making more horsepower. The only thing that low carb did that was really great compared to High car was spend less money by just removing items from the interior.

I think they had a smaller shot tuned (by god knows who) and then tried the larger shot without a proper tune out of desperation, or something. I have seen their series and they dont seem the best pickers when it comes to parts, a lot of times they get crazy expensive stuff that of course doesnt help, sponsored maybe, not the first time they also seem to over pay stuff, so who knows, the "high" 75k budget included the car btw.

So Alex, I know heaps of people probably cleared it all up. But yes the carbon fibre (I'm Aussie, thats how we spell it) was a waste but what their purpose was to get newer people into drag racing, probably a push from their parent company and they would have had some say on it. I am a LS nitrous guy but nothing against anything or anyone on that point. It was not really informant or interesting for me but maybe newer or younger generations could have found some interesting points in it that you don't need all that 75k budget to compete or atleast get started.

I understand your gripe with the donut Hi-Lo series. I'm in my '30s and I'm smart enough to know that this is entertainment and should do all my own research. Jen alpha and z are the ones who eat this stuff up thinking it's gospel. When I had my skyline built I talked to other people in the community and went to a suggested reputable shop. I had a young kid asked me if I went to an influencer shop. I told him I didn't have a clue who he was talking about

I saw one account where they faked a dragrace between a 2016 4 banger convertible camaro, and like a 2003 C5 corvette, and the corvette guy slept on the line for 3 seconds, then never actually floored it, i drove a C5 irl and while the gearing isnt great, that would still give a stock 2SS major problems at speed. Cant trust anything or anyone with these things anymore.

@ I think you’re underestimating people. And ultimately most people can’t or don’t want to build the fastest mustangs there is. And their video illustrates all the options that are available to people. And the whole point was to show what spending your money gets you. Which to be fair wasn’t done apples to apples in most cases but nonetheless there videos are more approachable to aspiring enthusiasts. Then when you do more research you get to people like Alejandro. They are not the problem, people not doing the research on top of the video is the problem.

Also people are most likely going to reference their Money Pit series for builds more than Hi-Low. Don’t like red but the black leather interior looks so good it makes up for the Red I thought those cars were $50k easy. I’ve been talking to him and got down to $15,500. Love this show .. ALEX is an icon and an Inspiration to us car lovers and FORD lovers … but why do we continue to bash on our own car culture is toxic … If these people ain’t it cool move on but they ain’t bothering anyone ,, Nate rider .. not an expert at all but I appreciate the build Dude in blue a good influencer But none of these jokers are ALEX, LUND , PBH etc
