I had the privilege of seeing these guys live at Riverfront Colosseum in Cincinnati, Ohio back in 1980 and it was to date...the best live show ever. At one point, Patrick Simmons had a wireless plug-in for his guitar and he jumped off the stage and ran around among the crowd on the floor playing and seemed to be having a great time. The crowd loved it. These guys were (are) a class act. Love their music. Rock on guys.

This song and Toulouse St are my favorite Doobie Bros, but man, they put out so much good stuff. And despite their name, I have yet to find any song with a hint of scandal, offense, or reasons not to play them in church. Great stuff!

I think they're name keeps them from being taken seriously. It's a shame. Pat Simmons has said he never liked it, but it stuck. I guess it's better than what they started with - "Pud".

I love how it seems that many times when they hit that really hard part for Patrick (1:18 here) how McFee smiles and looks right at him struggling!! Watch for this the 1982 farewell show - hilarious (a few bars later Patrick would wince hard because he missed one note of the hard part. McFee short of giggled). ALL IN GOOD FUN I have no doubt at all.
@Bill_Woo4 жыл бұрын
FYI the wincing part of the farewell performance was, on this performance, the two bars at 1:40 here :)
