Mesmerizing. I hope these guys know the magnitude of the joy they've brought their generation. Man what superb craftsmanship.

The best Dobie Brothers song ever. It never gets old. Its like a fine wine that ages gracefully with time and a dobie.

Just fucking glorious and because of the internet this performance will be captured till the end of time. Doobies would not have imagined that at the time.

Thanks, jwhinerjr, can't tell you how much this song means to me, my take on this song is about a young woman I once loved, I would be alone at night hoping to see her and sometimes she would show up at my house and we would spend the rest of the night in bliss. That was back in like 1977 I still think about that beautiful woman whose heart I didn't win in the end every time I hear this song.

John McFee is a master on slide guitar and Marc Russo is there anybody better on sax? It's a shame the Doobies do not play this song every concert.

They played it at the Westcoast Blues Fest 1/4/23 at the Nikola Wine Estate in Perth. Beautiful. John McFee Multi Instrumentalist Master. Easily the player in the band.

wow...6 years ago I surpriswed my mom and took her to see the doobies at the canyon..she was dying of Lou Gerhigs disease. After, I asked the manager if she could meet them, he said yea yea they all wanna meet him and started walking. I said in almost a whisper " But she's dying....it's on her wish list, oh please let me do this?" couldnt talk--Pat, and that song! South City Midnight Lady", I also dreamed of Pat for years, that night Mom and I met him. Thanks guys,, you did a good thing!
