i normally say ,the thing with kylie is that we grew up and realized the only thing we had in common with her is that we were both teenagers and to top it all off most of us are in our 20s still figuring out life and she is now a mom of two ,so the "relatability" has been lost (not that she was relatable before but you get me ). plus ever since the pandemic hit it grounded people and flex culture which the jenners/ kardashians are known for is not a thing anymore

That's why a lot of other celebs are trying really quickly to appear humble, funny, and grounded. They know the tides have changed and being relatable wealth or personality wise is more important than ever. People are even calling out over consumerism even though it's been a thing for ages...we are just now noticing because our pockets are emptier. How many celebs/influencers flex their wealth nowadays? KZbin "documentary" videos are more popular now due to social media influencers wanting to appear smarter and more grounded. Influences are still there, they have just taken a different form.

Also, I would like to add the way they behaved during health crisis… super gross… They all live in mansions and have the latest technology use social distancing like everybody else and do parties from afar by using FaceTime and don’t meet up… many people did not have graduation/wedding, could not be there for their partner, when a baby was born, could not attend funerals… yet these entitled people were flaunting wealth … by meeting up when it’s not allowed… not to mention behaved like they were above the law … if actually talented people could behave better, so can glamorised influencers

Without Kris Jenner, and even sometimes Kim, Kendall and Kylie would both be Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, socialites , going from party to party and Instagram influencers. Neither one of those girls had any initiative to start businesses, or make money on their own, because they never had to worry about a thing in their entire lives. These businesses and kendalls modeling career has all been molded and delivered to them, and they have maintained them with minimum to little effort.

Actually Kylie Swim is not “sold out” because it’s popular 😂. It’s “sold out” because it’s not selling well enough and they’ve slowed down on production. She got a ton of complaints and bad reviews criticizing her because the swimsuits are super thin and made with cheap fabric. She was charging $40-$60+ per suit and people got suits that were falling apart and had loose threads. I guess she’s said that she plans to relaunch it after they make changes but I think she should just let that one go 😂 Don’t be fooled by “sold out” or “limited supply left” or “almost sold out” etc, that doesn’t always mean the product is in high demand. It could just mean due to poor sales, the manufacturer isn’t making any more.

Kylie is giving Kylie Cosmetics the same treatment her sisters gave the Dash stores where they became tourist stops until they eventually closed. It’s weird I think Kylie is overall bored with life. She’s done everything you could possibly do by like 25. She lives her life wayyy too fast like she went from being teenage Kylie to being a mom of two in just a couple of years I feel like a lot of her younger fans cannot possibly relate to her anymore. She could have killed it with the swim wear if she had just put an ounce of effort but it looks like she was asleep during the whole production process. They were trash, there was just no excuse for how bad they were. I think this is why she’s going around starting drama so she can stay relevant somehow. I don’t see it ending well tho. Idk hard to believe anything she says or done, she’s just such an inauthentic person.

On the bright side, at least it’s better for my skin anyway. That being said, I understand that i still have it way easier than black people and am not trying to compare my issues with theirs! @@bri.decode She already has naturally long lashes and so do the rest of her sisters so I wouldn't be surprised that any average mascara would do good work on her... Kylie has a great genetic baseline that is pretty rare to come across and also she probably uses the most high-end eyelash care products and methods to keep her existing lashes on fleek. With a good two coats of mascara, professional photographers, good angles, and good filters, it shouldn't be very hard to get the result you see on her photos. Using that mascara on a plain Jane with a plain phone camera at her disposal, would be where the real deal's at.

What people do as they grow up changed lots too. At my university I see these younger students coming in straight from high school, wearing tons of make-up, but after just a few months the majority of them are walking in at campus bare faced or some mascara and lipbalm at the most. Their focus has changed and they are in this new environment where people don’t give a sh*t about their physical appearance or make-up in general, but will instead give them attention if they show up on time, work hard and contribute properly in group assignments. Notice the same thing at my weekend workplaces, I’ve been to as well- where people come in to do the work and there is no time to sit at home and throw on a lavish face hours before you need to show up at. My broken anslysis is basically: people grew up and grew out of their former intense make-up hobby. Then add how Rihanna came in and took over lots of the market by telling the comsumers...”I see you, and will have products for you too”. *Inclusion and innovation is key!* ❤

A lil over a decade ago when I was in college, I knew multiple girls who would wear full glam makeup to the gym. Most of them ended up bare face too after a few months, but there was still a lot that I would see in the hall ways going to bed in their makeup. I have heard that with society and makeup it's going towards skincare and bare, which I am here for and wouldn't be surprised if your phenomena becomes the norm. A few years back when I was a server at places, I got most of my tips if I just had a catchy lipstick and/or some eye shadow and mascara rather than not. I'm sure in any tipping business, if someone has any sort of definition towards their eyes or lips, they will receive more because the customer's eyes is naturally drawn to something even if it's subtle. If I was still in the server game, I would so try an experiment where I would go heavy eye/lip makeup verses minimal just to see if there is a difference.

I think her brand was just mostly hype. It was something you bought to show off, be trendy or clown on how bad the product is. However, she profited regardless and that’s all that mattered. It was never about improvement. Her products are nobody’s stable, that should have been her wake-up call to improve her products. If all that matters is quick profit, people’s interests will also be short lived and will be moving on to better things. I remember when someone said that people will buy Kardashian-Jenner products even if they are bad just to bash how bad the products are but they will still profit from it, so don’t buy their products, spend it on something that’s worth it, and I think this message is finally reaching people. I disagree with the changing the packaging in the sense that there are plenty of brands that keep the same packaging for years (MAC) and its because when you see it you KNOW its that brand. I dont think Kylie's makeup packaging is outdated necessarily with the pink and square but the huge kylie and drips i dont love. I agree on reformulating tho.

ikr! I haven't watched a single second of KUWTK, but I remember how she looked as a kid/young teen- pretty in a unique, "normal-human-being" way- & I legit can't recognise her (or Khloe) now unless someone tells me who it is, & yeah, those photos also made me realise her eyes are a major reason. It'd be nice if it made her feel good about herself, but women can never be "pretty enough", so one plastic surgery is rarely enough, & it _doesn't_ improve your self-esteem.

I only cared if someone had obvious work done and then lie about it, especially if years later it comes out as true. I think we should just normalize what we have spent money on especially since a lil botox and some injections isn't a bad thing. I have met many women who had lip fillers and they looked so natural and beautiful, but only one of them admitted it. They set the standard for 'societal beauty' but they based it on lies of being natural. The one who had the lease done is Kendal and she still had a decent amount.

I still use my liquid lipsticks (none are Kylie's) but that's because it's mostly those or some lip oils/chapstick. Of course the pandemic made me not reach for colorful lip products, but I still love them. I always wanted a Kylie lip kit, but even when they are on sale, they are too expensive. As for ColourPop, it's okay. I love their super shock eye shadows, but for a while they have been on the decline and I am not buying from them anymore. I pretty much decluttered most of CuP from my collection except for ss.

Kylie is still in that era where some ppl, wear loads of make-up. Now we in a era where some are just gonna minimal. Kylie definitely doesn't know her customers, doesn't have a good business plan & just profits off someone else make-up product. She has no brand ideas for the future & sucks at marketing. Everything is Kylie,Kylie Kylie, Kylie. And after awhile some ppl literally get so tired of that. We don't wanna keep see the same thing over & over again. Kylie Cosmetics is flopping. She is basically not irrelevant at all. Her products should be in dollar stores, CVS, Walgreens & side stores.
