The best workaround to the bunching in the pants is to get the regular waistsize slightly larger, maybe half an inch (or a full inch if you're wearing suspenders). That way, the side adjusters tighten enough to fit your waistband perfectly. Side adjusters usually cinch in the waistband by about an inch.

Yeah that definitely works! Except for the times I lose weight which makes the bunching more pronounced. Made me super self conscious in the beginning, but I don't really care about it now.

@@subtlesartorialist Hmm, I suppose it wouldn't work as well if your physique is changing. But my recommendation if your physique changes to a degree that your clothes are no longer fitting right is to just get them altered. Though I don't know your life situation.
