5:09 ( referring to the last message) that is under your control. What does your control mean? Your control is your ability to think, and feel, and to choose. So learning is related to your ability to use your mind which is your thinking, feeling, and choosing

I have 2 of your fantastic books Dr Leaf and looking forward to buying your new book from my Christian Book store. I am planning to study in 2019, self educate on a variety of different subjects, and Astronomy and Earth Sciences. Yes, I we need to exercise the brain like our bodies. 4:40 you literally choose what you want to focus on. And we know from research that when you pay repeated effort, when you focus on something repeatedly in a very organized way, learning will result.

Good work, am using your method to meditate on scripture and have modified it a bit, it has revolutionalized my mind and shared it with other, it has been supernatural so much that it shocked both I and the people God led me to teach it to...All the Way in Zimbabwe, Near Vic Falls

4:56 repeated focused effort makes learning take place. Or when you're focusing on something repeatedly you're going to build that into a thought thought. In the more you think about it, the stronger it gets and the more it grows.

Another great video Dr. Leaf! I'd suggest taking off one day of rest from your 3hr studies each week to just refocus and recharge. Remember God gave us the seventh day Sabbath to do just that. Cheers and thanks a lot!

I would recommend Dr Caroline Leafs book Who Switched Off My Brain. You can also get it in a dvd box set and Id recommend getting the workbook that goes with it. A trauma counselor introduced this to me and she had been getting good results from her patients.

3:30 we don't just gather facts and data. We need to actually build the puzzle, not just gather pieces of the puzzle. Get the understanding. Focus on certain topics and think it through very deeply. This is vitally important in building good memory.

Does anyone have any recommendations on dyscalculia ? I cannot do basic maths I have anxiety when I’m at work and giving change back etc because it’s so hard for me to remember and I often am incorrect when it’s the easiest thing to work out for others that don’t have my condition

How do you apply this to learning material that is not words--- like developing a large memorized musical repertoire, so you are not in danger of forgetting when performing under stress... I was an honor student in book classes, but music seems so abstract? I've begun to develop a repertoire, & reinforce it so I don't lose it, but it seems like 'fragile' knowledge, I could easily lose, compared to other types of knowledge.

Or what about learning skills like painting--- trying to learn a new style, that is not your natural style, but that you have seen in the artworks of others...??
