I've liked him for the last 2 years and even more so now, J. Hagens. I also think if M. Schaefer wouldn't have gotten injured, he would have been up there with Hagens.

Victor Eklund plays really similar to his brother William Eklund both scrappy players with high skill I think betting on the bloodline with him and also seeing Williams progression may put him at 5 on some GMs boards

I wouldnt hate it if my team took Eklund in the 4-5 spot over Martone

I still think Martone goes before Eklund.

@@nhldraftprosI do too, I'm just saying I wouldn't lose any sleep if my team picked Eklund instead (that may change by summer).

Sharks fan here. If the current standings hold and Chicago and SJ pick numbers 1 and 2 respectively, what is Chicago’s biggest need? I see SJ probably leaning towards Schafer regardless of them picking 1 or 2 based upon system needs.
@nhldraftprosКүн бұрын
I'd say Hawks go with either Hagens or Schaefer. So SJ will be left with one of those 2...but do they need another C? Maybe go with Misa who can play the wing.

Hawks fan here. I think they lean towards Hagens to give Bedard some help offensively after picking Levshunov last year. However if Hagens is off the board when they pick I'd personally go BPA and pick Schafer especially with how high of a floor/ceiling he has and how bad the whole roster is😅
@nhldraftprosКүн бұрын
@@Woi_time21 Yeah you're probably right!

@Woi_time21 i honestly hope Kyle goes with Misa if Hagens is not available. I think he is absolutely the next best pick and what is priority.
@damonmusha6504Күн бұрын
@@nhldraftpros if Schafer is off the board by the time SJ picks, why not trade down? You could probably get Misa at 4 or even trade further down to ~10 and get someone like Logan Hensler who’s a big organizational need while stockpiling additional picks.

I wonder if martone's softness was a result of the refs calling penalties based on how strong the offender looked

Yeah possibly....lots of calls against Canada this tourney.
