I didn't notice the "gore" when I first heard the story from that dumb video. All I remember was "the reason why we never got the movie." IIRC it was more of the fact that they were punching a lady more than the apparent gore. Remember, its okay if Vegeta gets the shit kicked right out of his dragon balls, but you dare lay a knuckle on any fictional females, and your ass is cancelled and grass. Which was the main complaint, that they were beating up a lady who was trying to kill them, if it truly was the basis for the Broly movie ofc. Also I am pretty sure Vegeta is in that story somewhere as well as Gohan. If not, then the story might actually be worse. Why the hell are Trunks and Goku on their own taking on this saiyan brute? Why isnt Vegeta there being Vegeta and calling Ika a "lower class warrior" and a disgrace and all that Vegeta type language? Why the fuck wouldn't Gohan tag along considering its a big threat and his father is there to combat the big threat? Granted Goku could've told Gohan to stay back but that wouldn't excuse why Vegeta wasn't there. Honestly I never saw it as a creepypasta but more of a fanfiction. To me, creepypastas are one thing... "OH NO BLOOD! DEMONS! 666! *insert character name here* WOULD NEVER KILL *insert another name here*! I'M SHAKING AND CRYING! *destroys tape/dvd/computer*" And not one creepypasta I read did they ever think to back up that media and release it so we can watch it or play it. That would be unique for a creepypasta to do. Either way its still a dumb story.

The Blue Water dub was the dub of Dragon Ball and GT that was used in the UK which was produced by Ocean’s Calgary studio Blue Water which was their more budget studio when compared to the main Vancouver Ocean Productions studio. 35:00 I think a fact some people may or may not know is how Vegetto was created to begin with; and even the Potara themselves being turned into fusion items after originally made for just decoration purposes. Toriyama wanted to use Gogeta initially to fight Buu in the Buu arc but Toei already used him for Movie 12 so Toriyama had to come up with a plan B. In conclusion; Vegetto was born.

30:40 The laserdiscs were good for their audio tracks. The video is obviously been superseded with later releases but the LD audio was lossless. It's so crisp and clear even better than the Japanese Dragon Box the Movies Set. The Blu Rays released recently were the only time the audio sounded good since. The LDs also have a dialogue only audio track and a music and sfx only audio track and haven't been released outside of those laserdiscs either. Pretty wild. Those discs just can't be found without forking over an arm and an leg and the contents of them haven't surfaced anywhere online except for a few clips...

Regarding "german OST": I am german and on this "case" for a while now. The only change to the original I could find is in fact this transformation scene. Fun fact: Sun Wukong, Qitian Dasheng, has a japanese name. The Japanese often have their own form of Chinese words, especially for dieties and demons such as Wukong or Bai Hu (Byakko). The Japanese name for Sun Wukong, is in fact quite literally Son Goku, and has been referenced in plenty of other Japanese media, for instance Naruto, where the tailed beast based off Wukong is in fact called Son Goku.

More on the Yamamoto plagiarism: They actually had to change the ost in Raging Blast 2 to the Tenkaichi 2 ost, with only early copies having the original soundtrack. I actually have an original copy while my friend has a later copy and I was very confused by us not having the same music lol. Otherwise while I'd maybe rearrange some stuff too and add the GameCube rpg but wow, man the hatches, a Dragon Ball iceberg that's actually kind of good! As a German, I can only assume that "German OST" refers to the fact that most, if not all, Japanese vocal tracks (i.e. opening and endings) were translated and sung by Fred Röttcher. It was a nicely done video Smugstick, I think you did a great job with each section. I was surprised that I knew a lot of the things on here, even some things on the lower levels from 6 onwards. To my delight though, I still learned new things. I.E. I didn't know that Prince Gas Vegeta made an animation about Vegeta committing suicide. Though that does explain the "why did you leave us this way Kakarot" line I've heard when I tried his Budokai AF mod and where the Dark Angel Vegeta came from. I also didn't know about that Ika the Legendary Super Saiyan creepypasta. I mean, I have seen art of her before, but I just thought of her as a random saiyan OC like a lot of characters. The Omni King is a crossover character that has been around since the 2000s. The Omni King is Goku real mother and gave him all of his power ups so that he wouldn't die. Saiyans are half human, half shenron race, but the Shenron race created their own dimension once saiyans tried to betray them.

I know some random DBH lore! Like Goku: Xeno in ultimate mission x implied he fought Beerus in his timeline but still doesn't know about blue. And in the same game he encounters Zamasu(Alternative universe) along with Time Patrol Trunks, and since both sides doesn't know each other, they even have a really nice chat(it's kinda funny to see how peaceful Zamasu talks to Goku and Trunks). And the Beerus they met over there also came from a different timeline so he doesn't recognize Goku Xeno as well, but on the other hand, Whis seems to knew about Goku and even asks Goku Xeno "didn't I trained you in another world?" and after fought with Time Patrol, this Whis even try to convince Goku Xeno to trained under him again in this timeline. The thing I just said above I can still find screenshots(Japanese of course), but there's something more I'm not so sure about but I saw fans from Japan talk about it. Like Goku(Xeno) clearly has knowledge for SSG(and even bluntly talking about "trained myself to sense god-ki", and we all know you have to either became a god once yourself or trained by someone has god ki first), but not SSGSS, so this meant he never trained by Whis(Ultimate Mission X confirmed this). This leads to he must have became God once in his timeline but lost SSG form after fighting with Beerus and go straight to GT plot to get SSJ4. So when people deduct this people just assume Vegeta(Xeno) should be the same....But some arcade storyline implies Vegeta(Xeno) knows more than he should be: like very wary of Zamasu, knows about his scheme beforehand; calling U6 Saiyans like he actually met them before; and knows about Baby as well. So compare to Goku(Xeno)'s complete ignorance is like Vegeta(Xeno) actually has knowledge for both GT and Super timeline....

S- cells do make sense when paired with the fact that Kenkai boosts stop after a while, my theory is that the regeneration and power boost Kenkai boosts give is due to cells being replaced with s-cells until the point where all cells are s- cells and then you no longer get zenkai boosts since your entire body is composed of s-cells

The Ocean dub was Funimation and Ocean (a Canadian studio) working together, then Funimation started using their own VAs. The Speedy Dub is the Ocean cast coming back because the Funimation dub wasn’t able to be broadcast in Canada, so it was make for Canadian viewers not the UK. Edit: The Budokai 3 Easter egg may be referring to the alternative colors for SSJ4 Gogeta where he resembles SSJ5 Goku

Fun DBZ boduki 2 fact. There was a cheat that let you unlock everything in the game by going to the shop holding L1,L2,R1 and R2 and leaving repeatedly. You would fill the unlocked bar each time.

Jiren is Buddha, I just read the reddit post. And there is noway its a coincidence, in Dragon Ball Super Super Hero, they still mention Jiren about his relaxsation until the exact moment he strikes. Also the meditation Jiren does resembles Sun Wukong vs Buddha exactly. The focus on Jirens eyes throughout the episode or manga panels is surely no coincidence either (Buddha can do the same thing as for he transcended the gods) Jiren transcended the gods aswell. Also the fact that Sun Wukong got bodied in his first battle against Buddha.
