It will awkward for Callum and Runaan see again despite how result their first impression. Now Runaan is free and I don't think he isn't free from Katolian law because he still must pay the price for killed King Harrow. When the time come, he and Callum will talk about the topic but Callum wouldn't forgive Runaan for that crime but he will make sure that his judgment be merciful. Runaan will found out why his daughter fell in love for Callum.

At scene 2:54 Callum was thinking how to put Aaravos in the coin because you can't kill him. You can only prison him. That was a quick deep look of thought and planning of how to do this. Then Aaravos being let loose by Claudia and the look of glee on her face as well as the look on Aaravos face gave me the chills. Good music behind each event made this moment even more haunting. Season 7 Dark will be crazy to see.

I was thinking the same but is it really the right thing to do? If Callum seals away Aaravos… it feels no different than what the council did to leola. Sure he could live out some kind of fantasy where he’s with leola but… it doesn’t feel right. I know what Aaravos has done can’t be forgiven but when look at his past, he’s a father grieving his daughter, trying to get back at those who wronged him. And in his past the council didn’t make a compromise. It was either fade away with her or without her, that wasn’t mercy it was an ultimatum. The council that took leola away needed a Scapegoat and leola was that. They need to keep up their image which is why they did what they did. When one of the elves told aaravos not to be sad, it reminded me of what Master yoda said in revenge of the sith: “Rejoice to those around you who transform into the force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not.”

He's going after those Star Touched Elves. That's what I would do in his position. Problem is, those things are phenomenally powerful. For all intents and purposes, they're gods in The Dragon Prince universe, so Aaravos has had to plan for thousands of years.

I think it's a question of has he not already? I imagine if the startouch elves were still a thing out there he would have been sentenced to cosmic justice like his daughter was long before being sealed in a pearl. I think he may be the last one, and his goal is, in a sense, bringing his own sense of "cosmic justice" on the world. I think he thinks the cosmic order, what ever it actually is that the other startouched elves and archdragons believe, the one that scentenced his daughter to death for what he saw as the crime of having love and compassion, is flawed. And he's just going to wipe that order clean. No more startouch elves, no more dragons, no more anything that doesn't conform to the world he thinks should exist, whether that means a world at all or not.

A human girl was the friend who sought him out to save Leola. So Aaravos sees humans as very pure in their desires and bonds. He gave them the dark magic as a present in order to make them equals to the elves and dragons. Now he seeks to snuff out the light of the Startouched elves and fill the world with the magic of darkness. To bring his chaos to their order.

Aaravos burned the entire Kingdom of Katolis just to kill Sol Regem, and destroyed the entire realm of the Sunfire Elves just to further his own plans. The Startouch Elves may have started Aaravos down a dark path, but he actively chooses to pursue it without any regard or care for the innocent. He's just as cruel and terrible as they are.

That's a big question I have, honestly. The other Startouch elves offered to kill Aaravos alongside Leola as a mercy, and it was made to seem like both their deaths would be permanent. I assumed at first that this must mean Startouch elves are powerful enough to destroy one another. But if this is the case, one has to wonder why they didn't just destroy Aaravos at the first sign of his treachery. Makes me question whether Aaravos was twisting the truth. Either that, or there are some serious gaps that need filling regarding the Startouch eleves, how or if they can be properly killed, or why they didn't intervene if they otherwise had the power to kill Aaravos initially.

@@LHSMeleeClub Leola may indeed not be permanently killed, but if that's the case, then it sheds doubt on Aaravos's motives. It's hard to believe that he would weep for a hundred years and go on an eternity-long revenge tour because of her death if he didn't truly think she was lost to him. His behavior to me, given his seething hatred toward his people and the dragons and a lack of regard for the world in general, suggests there is nothing he is looking forward to but his revenge --- and certainly not a reunion with his daughter. And there's no reason, with him being a Startouch Elf himself, that he shouldn't be aware of how Startouch Elves work and how/if they can been killed. As for the Merciful One, I'm certainly interested in what became of them. Part of me was expecting to see more of them than we actually did. And I was not expecting the "mercy" in question to be... well, death. My only thing is, if the first thing he did was kill them, you'd think he would have gotten the attention of the other Startouch Elves very quickly. Instead, he went on cause trouble for a lot of people before anyone seemingly caught on to what he was actually doing.
