This changed my life, and I don't mean that lightly. My perspective: I look up to Dream as both inspiration and somewhat of a friend who I listen to rather than speaking with, and as an introvert, that's the best I could ever ask for in a friend anyways. This interview asked better questions than any others have, and Dream was allowed to talk fully through each part. I've never looked up to him as much as I do now, since I found so many similarities between us; I am an avid writer, constantly putting off schoolwork to write fiction, and I have started a book which I intend to self-publish within two years. Writing has taken over much of the time I would otherwise be reading, and I have finished books within one or two days before starting a new one. Words are my escape, like Dream said, and my sole reason for writing is to be able to be a storyteller - to share my fantasies with other people who can enjoy them. Like Dream, I've gone through a very dark place after realizing my aspirations were very unlikely to pan out and my purpose and passion in life was probably not going to happen. Dream was right in saying his best creativity came from it; so did mine. Thankfully, I pushed myself to take up my passion again after dropping writing for a long while, and I got better much sooner than Dream did. Like him, I am much happier now since I don't take being happy for granted and I understand that I can achieve if I put the work in. And, the final kicker: I am on track to graduate early, as well. I fully intend to learn from Dream and take writing seriously. Substantial thank you to Colin and Samir for rekindling my motivation and quite possibly setting my life back on the right track.

00:31:23 I really didn't expect him to read the exact phrases of the music that, back when it was released, helped me take a deciding move, that if I didn't do it in time, I would probably be fired from my work because of depression and anxiety for the 3rd time. Listening to Mask really helped me step out of my mattress, and face my work (it's a remote job), which helped me go back to seeing my doctors and control my depression and anxiety. I know the song might sound silly to some people, but it has a special place in my heart and in my skin forever (I tattooed the phrase on my left arm so that I can see it every day when I need to boost my motivation, remembering that I can do it and don't let depression or anxiety freeze me). 00:35:30 basically Mask helped me have the same realisation as Dream says at this timestamp, and I try not to forget that during harder times.

In every other interview the questions are always the same meaning the answers are always the same. but from this interview, although some common questions were also asked we were able to get new answers and learn more about dream/clay and being able to hear everything that he wants to say :) Also you guys seem like you really wanna know the guy and is actually intrested in him. great job on this! You guys are an example of what interviews should be like!! 💚

now that finished listening to it: this was a really awesome conversation, am strangely hung up on magnets being in the hood of his hoodie to keep it from slipping. Very good questions and interesting insights into different thought processes. A huge part of being in Dreams community was him taking his viewers concerns seriously and being in tune with their expectations/thoughts/feelings.

New subscriber! Dream got to talk so much without much limit, which is rare for most podcasts, and I see the effort you guys put into your videos! This was so inspiring, you don't even know how much

from listening to other media you do get a kind of negative veiw on this guy, but this interveiw wiped all that away. I gained a lot of respect for him from this interveiw

That's the main objective of what he's doing right now, to gain relevance, to gain popularity, even though it's a negative one. Now he's more focused on making music, that gives him reasons to wear the mask, and get closer to big artist.

Great interview, and as someone who's watched Dream's yt content but not his streams, I now more understand what the heck the DreamSMP is. Also, I cracked up at the end when all of you were wearing the mask! XD

I’ve worn a mask since I was kid and have been thinking about a face reveal…this conversion really helped 🙏🏻 What do you think?

This is my favorite channel on KZbin. You guys ask such engaging questions and honestly every episode is a masterclass in how to drive an interview into a quality story. Samir is so good at “coming back” to things and making people feel understood. Thanks y’all! You have inspired me and many others!!

This is a fascinating conversion, love hearing that Dream worked at AppleCare. I was a trainer for AppleCare for almost 9 years before I left to run my business and youtube channel full time.
