Amazing insight, Coach. Love it when you have the humility to be openly coached in front of your subscribers. Keep it coming!

One of the better and practical coaching for a driver swing I have seen in a long time.

Amazing how the coach could analyse so easily what was happening in the swing and then correct it. Wow - wish i could find a coach like that .

So fantastic to find a coach that knows what he's talking about and can see the flaws in your swing pretty quickly. Amzing Coach Lokey that he spottd flaws in your swing and yu hit the ball a long ways. Here's to impriving your driver strikes andm by impliction, your iron strikes as well. Mark, lookout, here commes Coach Lokey with his long drives straighter and longer. Cheers.

Interesting about the hip turn, will try this down the range this afternoon. I see your point about doing too much at once, concentrate on one change at a time. Too many changes at once confuses the hell out of me. Loved this video and looking foreward to the next muppet tour to see the difference.

I think over-separation might well be one of my problems - I’m very flexible in my back, hips, etc. (maybe partly because I’m a woman) so I naturally turn my upper body without needing to turn my hips. I don’t feel the tension. Now I think that’s why I’m inclined to rotate my upper body and throw my hands out - I used to think that was what I was supposed to do and now it’s hard to stop. But the more I turn my hips, the better I hit it and knowing why will help me remember to use my hips better in the backswing. Thanks Coach & Shauheen!

Really liked this video I noticed that I was also having the same issues. Been doing core training 3 times a day for about 10 minutes each time. Really helpful for me to get everything to turn together with stronger core, stopped my over the top and helped level attack angle.

From what I was seeing you’re very close. Letting the club drop at the beginning of the downswing will be easier if you stay connected shifting your weight to your front foot. Remaining connected is the trick here. Good luck and interesting video!

I’m the same. I have better than average speed and distance with driver but have never been able to find the consistency. I’m at 13.5 and usually hit 3-5 errant drives a round. I think I could be high single digit if I could decrease penalty strokes.

Loved this. Whilst youre a pro, a hacker like me can clearly see the huge benefit in more hip rotation to then allow the torso to rotate wothout feeling like you're twisting in half 😅
@jakephelps476610 ай бұрын
Beauty of golf is different ways to slice the apple. Shauheen is awesome but I dont agree with him here. I think turning the hips like he is suggesting isn't a great way to load the system and Lockey was pivoting fairly well in the backswing. I think it's much more related to the downswing issue of the hand path moving too far out too early because of chest rotation too early in transition. The trail side bend is in there to shallow the club as a result of lead arm being too far out. Ultimately, great players match chest rotation and side bend. Usually, more rotation compared to side bend is a good recipe to be down and across. To me the solution is keeping the chest closed early transition and letting arms fall while still maintaining left side bend and then turning on the rotation. That way all you have to do is turn because you are in a better position to release it without having to side bend so much to get down to the ball

The driver makes me crazy. Sometimes it just works great (do not hit it that far but straight and decent distance) and you think you know why. A few swings later it does not work, and you do not understand what you have done different. When it comes to irons I pretty much know what to do to make it work and can identify what is wrong when it does not work.
