I liked Hyperion alot. Agree, very cool world-building. It slowly but continually kept layering more and more disparate things onto itself, and such a cool premise and story structure. And I was genuinely interested in the mysteries going on. The only issue I had was that I never found myself getting attached to any of the characters. Funnily enough, the closest I got attached to someone was Father Dure. Otherwise, cool book.

Good evening after watching several of your movies and tv shows Anson (fav is Hell on Wheels least favorite was MK Ultra). I think you would make a great leading character in Agatha Christie Poirot or Sherlock Holmes. You facial expressions and body movements. You seem to be a master of facial expression calmness in your movements.
