I can't believe I have still not read this finale... though I can't say that I am getting more excited to do so after hearing your thoughts lol. We had the exact same experience with the first two books, so eeeek that makes me nervous. It helps that the books are so effortlessly readable though!

@@esmayrosalyne of course we had the same reading experience with the first two, we’re the same person 😂😂😂😂 they really are so digestible! I mean I don’t regret reading the trilogy, it’s just a lot of things that don’t really align with my tastes in the third one. But it’s not a bad book, just not a “me” book.

@@bookschocaholic gives me little faith that it will be a 'me' book either lololol

So I read the first one of these not too long after it came out - had a good time with it, but did have some issues with it and never ended up getting round to reading the others... from the sounds of it, I think my issues were similar to yours - I quite enjoyed the plotlines with Lin and Jovis but I never really connected to the other two women (whose names I've now forgotten... sorry, it's been a while...) and their relationship... I think you summed it up really well: one's moral, but unlike, the other is likeable, but not moral. I think I'd still like to give the next book a try at some point, but it's been so long now I'd probably have to reread book one! Glad to have heard your thoughts though!

@@rue1629 it’s as you say not a bad series it just has some problems. I feel really vindicated that you felt similarly about book one though because I heard so much praise when it came out and I think it skewed my expectations ❤️

@@bookschocaholic Yeah, I did overall enjoy it, and I always cut an author some slack on their debut because it seems only fair! Agree on feeling vindicated though - glad it's not just me!
