Hey! I'm the bass player for Dangerous Toys! I really appreciate your video and your take on the album. You get it! Thanks for the compliments on my playing by the way. I really appreciate it!

Yes you're welcome. I enjoyed listening to this album and talking about it. It's been a while since I pulled out my old CD and spun it but I enjoyed this. This was an album I used to listen to all the time when I was a lot younger back when it came out. I'm glad you liked it and thanks for coming by the channel.

Hey Mike, cool to read directly from you here. I'm from Munich, Germany and saw you by chance many years ago somewhere in Texas I think it was, but for sure it was on your "Pissed" tour as I bought the CD straight away. I really like your very distinctive bass. Do you play a Musicman on the record, that's what it sounds like to me, or what bass is it? I can't even remember which bass you played live. It's so long ago. I just remember your tour bus with the word "Pissed" written on the front :-) ! You could never do something like that in Germany I thought back then.

I'm an old guitar guy, as my time in music came to an end, the late 80s and early 90s are a blur in my memory but I remember, musically, I had nowhere to go. The real world got complicated and I missed the whole Headbangers Ball era, and what metal or hard rock turned into post Blizzard of Oz. 35 years later I serendipitously tumble upon Scared, and had a literal epiphany. Holy shit meng, how did I miss this?!?! That one song opened a world I had no knowledge existed. Yes, you still can have life-changing events at 65. This opened up a rabbit hole that led to Junkyard, Rhino Bucket, Airborne and many more. I credit Scared with being a musical turning point. It's part of my get-ready-for-work playlist now. Simply mind splattering! If you ever wake up thinking your art has been forgotten, I can assure you, it hasn't. Thank you so much! 🤟😆🤘

I want you to know personally how much I love the first two albums and how much they emotionally mean to me. To this day they’re on all my flash drive mixes and the music and playing is of best rock has ever had to offer and listen to them all the time. The songs are so fun they make me smile as I sing along. And the leads in Angel N U are up there with the best of them. Also the memories I have attached to them are very personal. My first wife (R.I.P.) was a rocker and we listened to your albums all the time, my god her crush on Jason! Our son was born in ‘88 and when he was little he would do a hilarious toddler dance when we played your music and we would laugh and laugh. I worked in a warehouse at the time and at our shipping station where I was the shipping manager I chose the music and it was all rock and metal and me and the guys used to rock our heads off to your albums and have so much fun singing out loud in unison to all the lyrics because they’re all so fun. I’ll never forget those days. Yesterday I watched the concert of you guys from May of this year (2024) and was almost brought to tears. But the smiling kind. Probably from watching that was why this video popped up in my feed this morning. Also last night after watching the show I went to eBay and bought two t-shirts, one of the first album the other Helacious Acres. Seeing you posting here is so cool. I had to tell you my story and deep connection to the band. Thank you. I’m 59&1/2 now. I hope all your lives turned out great. I love you guys. Thanks for so much. Please if can come to NY (Long Island or close to it in particular) I’ll be at the show for sure, I’ll be the short old guy with the long curly hair banging his head while probably crying. Peace and love brother. 🤘🤘🤘

Loved this album from the first time hearing Teasin' Pleasing'. Ran out and got the tape; I was a wee lad without a CD player. Whole album is a ripper and still listen to it today.

I listened to the cassete in my school mate's truck on the way to Ag mechanics in 10th grade. I became a fan instantly. I actually thought Queen of the Nile was the best track. I think Scared was in reference to Alice Cooper. ...or maybe it was Michael Cooper from the Lakers. Is that River Phoenix at 4:01 ? I think he was also in the You're all I need video from Motley Crue.

This was an album that I had in the late eighties and would play regularly for several months; it's an easy listen with some good replay value. My favorites are Outlaw and Scared, and maybe Queen of the Nile after that. Some filler tracks too but again it's easy to listen to filler and not necessarily the type that gets skipped over. I didn't think all that much of the follow-up album and didn't buy it, and then the grunge era arrived. So they are kind of on the same level for me as bands like Firehouse, Ratt, and Warrant, where there are songs that I like and will pull up on youtube from time to time but I don't go completionist or close to it. As for Watchtower; they are reputable for being an early pioneer of modern progressive metal and have been considered a big influence to Dream Theater. There was a planned third album (titled Mathematics) for like a long time now but I don't know if that will ever really have the wheels in motion to come into fruition.
