As someone who really loves tinkering with music creation but basically no formal training and very basic music theory understanding, having this kind of accessibility and instant creativity is just amazing.

You NEED to release all of your songs, guys, come on. I'd even pay for a properllerhead playlist for all songs you've made in your tutorials since the beginning of time. Please, do consider! And my jaw is currently dropped at the potential for music hobbyists like me. This is insane. Love, love, love the players!

I've said this so many times, and I keep saying it... Reason is all about good sounds first and foremost. They give you the tools to "do" stuff, this is no exception, and that's what makes Reason so great. In fact.. apologies guys but to me this is also what makes Reason so perfect in combination with Live (my other favorite DAW). Both have a completely different workflow and yet they can really match... Reason is all about awesome sounds whereas Live is all about making things 'work', sometimes on a more technical level (cough, Max for Live, cough). Add these two together and you got magic in your hands. I am honestly SO glad that I chose for Reason back when I did and stuck with it instead of going Komplete. Nothing bad about Komplete, but in my opinion they "can't touch this". Because Reason doesn't only give you great sounds (like Komplete), they _also_ give you all the tools you need to make those sounds on your own. This is yet another perfect example.

Big thanks for this tutorial on the Dual Arpeggio Player in Reason 12! Even though I’ve never had professional piano lessons, your guide has been a game-changer for me. Your clear instructions have made a huge difference in my compositions. Keep up the great work!

I have mostly used reason to record live audio, guitar, bass, ukulele, vocals, and as a drum machine to build around these things. I am just getting into these players and I really have to give it to you guys, the only limitation is creativity.

As someone who really likes arps but always found the RPG8 melodies to be too simple I'm _very_ happy with this since I don't need to akwardly repeat everything for every chord. Next to that the polyrythyms are something I never really played with but can sound really nice. I like how easy it is to subtely tweak an arp pattern as well as experiment with it.

Well is it really seven years ago i enjoyed this introduction? It's always good to re-inspire myself with the awesome capabilities of Reasons devices! I'll create another playlist to my usual music production lists here on YT and call it "Reasons finest". :D Btw, it would be really nice to un-sync the arpeggio and be able to automate the rate in Hz! Edit: You should really bring back such awesome features as shorts as friendly reminders, for example the part starting at 10:20 where it's really getting nice mimiking the natural piano playing with both hands. Friendly reminders to commemorate the users why they love Reason ♥

Love all the Reason vids, especially the Frank Sanderson ones. I could listen to this dude teach me how to make glue from a horse. I thought he sounded more convincing than a regular voice actor so I did some research. Come to find out he's a musician and sound designer among other creative pursuits (and he was Triceracop in Kung Fury :) as well as a professional voice actor. Propellerhead nailed it and I hope to see more vids from Frank.

I've been mad at all these "fake it" for non-musicians, but the chords+pattern arp (like the piano) would be a legit time saver, especially if it can do more than 4 notes per step (for add9 chords, half diminished, Etc etc.) I wonder how it can do bass notes if some chords in a sequence are inverted? @PropellerheadSW any tips? I'm still on the fence about upgrading!

Well the good news is that this isn't normal behavior... the bad news is that you're experiencing not normal behavior. Are you on an iMac by any chance? Or a retina display? You might want to try to go to the Reason app icon in the Finder, get info, and check off "Open in Low Resolution" to disable the retina HD peformance. I've seen that fix what is similar behavior someone else was having.

Why did you add devices with LESS functionality than devices that have been in Reason for years? For example why didn't you make it possible to automate the velocities on the arps? Or AT LEAST have a general automatable volume level for each of them so that you can vary how much you want each arp to sound at different times. This is BASIC functionality, why don't you add it?
