It Wasn't rebellion against the cops. On the series boss hog was always trying to frame the dukes to take the blame his money making schemes and them having to clear their name. Jesse won't making moonshine as part of a deal to Bo and Luke to get probation. The movie wasn't that good and didn't follow the actual series at all. Did any of these people actually watch the series growing up?

The movie is a complete DISGRACE to The Original Dukes of Hazzard Show and it's Actor's and to it's Fans!! And YOU could NOT HAVE PICKED A WORSE ACTOR TO PLAY UNCLE JESSE (DENVER PYLE) A "LEGEND" .............THEN WILLIE NELSON!!! The ONLY thing worth watching was The General Lee! EVERY ACTOR IN THIS MOVIE SUCKED!!

Not as crappy as other remakes that I know of… (cough)TheLastAirbender(cough)DragonballEvolution(cough) At least “The Dukes of Hazzard” respected its source material more than we’re giving it credit for.
