I'm someone who works in theater, so I can clarify some more inaccuracies: - In the acting field, EVERY role is important and brings the show together. Just because you're the main character, doesn't mean you're the most important thing. Just because you're the background role, doesn't mean you're not important to the show. Yeah it seems like leads get the most attention because that's how social media talks about Hollywood and celebrity casting, but do you know how many stories have feedback where a character that shows up in like ONE scene is the audience favorite? For example, Total Drama (Just an example): Do you know some of the fan favorites in that show are the characters who only merge once or merge never? Noah's one of my favorite characters in that show, and he only talks for four episodes in the first season, was not in the second season, and is in the first half of season three but then gets kicked out of the plot halfway through. He has very LITTLE screen time and plot relevance, and yet the fandom loves him, including myself. - The idea that a single actor can change an entire show just because they say so is laughable. That's not how casting works. Once the cast is locked, it's locked. It's the director's decision on what changes go to the show afterwards. Actors kinda have little power in that regard. - This also means that no, it is NOT the leads job to boss around the other actors they work with. That's unacceptable behavior actually. Someone in one of my shows got fired for that behavior. It's the director's job to tell the actors what to do. If Santa WAS the director, that'd make more sense. But they don't establish that. - Lead actors also do not get their own dressing rooms. The dressing rooms are split between genders, and every actor shares the same one. I don't think I need to clarify any further. - 10:20 Half the time, no, there's usually not a spare. Costumes are far more expensive than you think. Just getting one costume piece costs a good hundred dollars sometimes. Now yes, sometimes there's a spare for the minor stuff like gloves or hats, but that doesn't make the budget any less painful. If anything, ruining a piece of costume takes hours or days to fix and depending on when the show is, there's no time. That's why actors need to be neat and tidy all the time. In the video, I question why you even need bread oil on a costume. That's either not allowed, or only costume designers touch that stuff. - The acting field IS legitimately stressful. You have to memorize a whole packet of lines in just a day, you have to get scolded by directors over and over again to get a scene choreographed the way they want, and you're usually up very late at night rehearsing. People HAVE quit because of stress and things going wrong. In a single day? No. From a prank that'd likely get the actor fired? No. - Making another character already in the show the lead would NEVER happen. What would happen if an actor quits is that they get an understudy, a backup actor for that role. They take the part, and they take the role of the main character. You can't make the Cabbage Guy fight the Fire Lord.

Honestly, Dhar Mann does not feel like a life lesson channel anymore, but more of a kid's network with plots and stories about any and anything kids will watch. Everything about this story and the previous ones is cliched and overdone. I watched this video before but not until the end though. Also, the fact characters in these videos do the worst things ever and don't get punished is baffling to me. I used to be a character performer at Disney world and spent a lot of time with Anna from Frozen and Chip and Dale. People are weird. They don’t think of you as a person in a costume. They forget there is a real person with their own life playing these characters. I think that it has to be the same with Santa. They forget it is a real person playing a role so doing dehumanizing things to characters, Santa, or elves is quite common.

This is insufferable. "Buddy" complaining about every little thing that has little to do with the bigger picture is absolutely annoying. It doesn't help Dhar Mann literally got a Little Person to play the elf (and a black one at that that is double insulting on many levels) but one with a Napolean complex thinking he could be Santa. Not saying he couldn't but when most people think Santa is a Big, Fat white Old man. I know different cultures depict him differently but still. But that's not even the problem! You said it yourself: Buddy would hate being Santa cause he would be working harder, which he wants? I don't know who's dumber: Dhar Mann or the literal bots that follow him! Or both!

I have a theory, In the Dhar-verse Dhar Dhar is seen as a holy figure by many. In reality, he is actually a trickster working in the background, making people go insane or even possessing them for a short period for entertainment. Dhar has no physical body, but his favorite vessel is the one you see in his profile picture (original name unknown) As for that kid that wanted to see him, she wants to move on from this life. With the cameraman, he records all of his shenanigans and posts them on youtube because he wants more potential victims to become engrossed in his trickery. If enough people watch him and allow him to take residence in their brain, he can then come into this verse to preform even more trickery. Basically like Loki but actually scary.

It's like they wrote a story where Santa Claus was real and those things would really be a problem, but then mashed it with a version of the story where it's clearly just a show, with costumes, etc. All the drama relies on everything being more real than it is (Santa having any power, an elf surprised to find out Santa is the star only after taking the role, etc) but then it clashes with the elements that can only happen during a stage production.
