“aren’t you raising an orphan” is something i’ve quoted to my mom probably a million times now and i still haven’t told her the context of the line. it’s just a weird inside joke now (necessary context: my mom is my adoptive mom. i’m an orphan as my bio parents gave me up as a newborn and i was even in a literal orphanage for a while as i’m not from the US. anyway, i was adopted and i still make orphan jokes about myself because they’re objectively peak comedy)

Everything that dude does screams that he hates his job yet he somehow rose through the ranks of the letter sending industry to run a whole...whatever he was doing.
