22 here, so pretty early Dumbest Purchases: -living in WAY too bougie of a college apartment with insane rent -clothing items i wear ONCE -clothing items i literally NEVER wear and resell for 1/4th the price of poshmark NWT -late night food i don't even get to really enjoy!! -expensive high end makeup that i like but still use my drugstore over -uber eats/ grubhub / doordash bc FEES -$30 planners i never stick to -textbooks for classes that i never open -excessive amounts of seasonal/holiday decorations i will prob be throwing in the trash when i move out and graduate in may ugh i could keep going. nothing like excessive (except rent) but that little shit adds up!!

i think you should keep the snow boots because even if there are only a few snowy days, they will avoid ruining another pair of shoes in the slush! so in that sense having them will save you money in the long run. especially bc im guessing you wont have a car in nyc and will be walking everywhere

I’m 27 and my worst purchase so far would probably be buying brand new furniture (bedroom, living room set) at a furniture store for my first apartment. keep the boots! I bought a pair of north face snow boots probably 3 or 4 years ago, barely wore them because I barely went outside except to and from my car, but this past winter I wore them more walking my dogs! If youre living in ny youll be walking a lot and youll be glad you have them
