Hi!! Came across this video to see if this can be more efficient for my work. Was just wondering, did you really intend to leave spaces in the middle of your colored tabs for something work-related details you would write on? I just wanted to clarify if I missed something. :) Also, is this a 1 month per spread basis or does it just flow til you fill up a page and flip for the next? :) Thanks! Love your videos! (You’ve done this for quite some time, I wanted to know your thoughts on keeping 2 different journals for personal and work? Looking forward to your next video! thanks!)

This is wonderful. It seems like most bullet journal videos are geared more toward students and as someone who uses my bujo for work projects, I don’t find those very helpful. But this is going to be incredibly useful. Thank you so much!!!

This is brilliant. I work in aerospace and we have milestones that take months or years to be delivered . I have to follow all the different work streams on massive plans online so just having something this simple on kanban to track other people's progress would be great. I get asked all the time what dependent items are outstanding and with whom they sit and I'm constantly in and out of different notebooks getting the detail, so this could change my life! Thank you!!
@squinn89082 жыл бұрын
I worked in aerospace also, and this method would have status meetings easier to follow, plus managing resources. But now, retired and with a part-time, lower-keyed position, this is overkill for most of the projects I've handled.

Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for making this wonderful video. It has inspired me to make my own kanban board in my journals for my goals and projects. I've been exploring some ideas and I am considering making the kanban boards on a separate piece of paper so that the task list can run over to the next page if need be. That way, if it runs over and needs to be in other pages, the kanban board can be moved where it is easiest to reference. On top of that, the kanban board itself can be expanded to a few more pages if the process has more stages to completion. Have a wonderful day and God bless you! :)

You could also use a erasable pen for those tabs. That is what I currently do! :) Comes in handy!

Here's another planning tool that might be helpful. she called it a Gant board. (12:00) I've seen these used in housing construction. Projects down the left. Days across the top. She only has one color, across the life of the project, but I've seen a project start in yellow (planning), green (drafting), blue (building), etc. I've also seen where each color is a empty box for planned time block and filled in for actual time block. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKe9ZaKie7aceKc

I’m sorry you felt the video wasn’t clear! It was made two years ago and I’ve improved a lot as far as content creation, but I tried to explain the kanban board the best I could. It’s not so much about what I’m writing as those are just my own personal projects and categories, but the general concept of the spread! For the other spreads I’d recommend a quick google ❤️

I think this method is really tailored to her specific work. I think bullet journals aren’t great for project management. There are tons of collaborative tools for projects that can make you’re life so much easier! I use mine at work for brain dump of ideas, notes, and action items/to dos that come up. I simply log the date and proceed to brain dump. That’s it! Simple is best!

Agreed, it’s impossible to read even on an iPad. For a KZbin demonstration, maybe write MUCH larger or zoom in. Your focus is also going in and out so that makes it even harder to read anything. Have no idea what’s on the tabs.
