Welcome to the community! This is definitely a better place to start than gym reruns! Once you make some money from 2 or 3 of these runs, definitely get a rerun team but only after a few regions done! I'm working on my new gym rerun route since the teleporters and DC penalty were put in! Should be about 30 gyms with the simple typhlosion and blastoise strat

Oh yeah cloyster is definitely a must for the run to keep it efficient! I also have a 30 gym guide coming out on Friday too! It's super easy with 2 typhlosions and 2 blastoises so watch out for that!

You can teach Pin Missile to your cloyster so he/she can 1 shot those bulky pokes that you can't 1 shot with Icicle Spear(like the boy at 15:46) Just keep in mind that Pin Missile has 95 ACC so it can miss sometimes.

Thanks for the feedback! I typically only use 100% attacks on reruns though. Why would pin missile ohko where icicle spear wouldn't though? Icicle spear has stab so each is 25 power + 50%, whereas pin missile is just 25 power?

@@JinxedBoon It's about type. Ice move can do 1/4 effective to Empoleon and Azumarill while Bug move can do 1/2 which is enough to ohko.

I did this route but I moved the Snowpoint gym to the end because the movement inside the gym confuses me. It's a shame we lost Cynthia untill May, and I was unable to fight the trainer to the left of Candice in the hour, but I did fight the trainer at the top of rt 228 that you skipped. I made 252,240 with the amulet coin (which was free because it was a storyline coin) and used the experience to level a Blastoise. If I had bought a 75%RC I would have gotten ~240k. So I think this method is great if you want to level Pokemon while you make money. Or if you want a more relaxing route than fighting gyms. For pure money, Gym reruns seem to be much better, but a bit more stressful, and require a larger investment in the team. Thanks for the guide.

great guide!!! For consistency lvl 90 is the sweet spot, bulky steel types cheap damage cloister and some Pokes like swift swim Floatzel can deal a lot of damage. For budget u can run metronome instead of Choice band, at 90+ gives u the same result

Excellent guide, thank you sir. I'm a long time player looking to freshen things up so this helps a lot. I did notice that in Snowpoint Gym, the trainer to the right of the gym leader has a Gengar with cursed body which disables icicle spear. It messes up the run a small bit so I switch out to my garchomp/ hydreigon for that one

My amulet coin did run out so much faster :o i guess it's cuz im not experienced. Also my level 89/91 cloyster did not always OHKO and i kinda got lost not having defog and rock slide. XD There are many ways to improve, although the guide is awesome. Great work dude!

Make sure you are using a choice band too! It'll help a lot! I have been testing lower level cloysters and around level 75, it can OHKO most of the things in the run easily!

This is definitely a good replacement for gym rerun I'd set up properly! Just make sure to not let the exp go to waste and you can easily level some things to 100 for profit! Also, I just finished working out my new gym rerun route and it is 30 gyms with 2 typhlosions and 2 blastoises, which is a pretty old school strat! Watch out for that one in the coming weeks!

The best pokemon to beat all the NPCs is Rampardos. He has mold braker and rock blast for the pokemons with focus sash.

That could work! I'm pretty sure cloyster is still better though because rampardos could only do 2 attacks with rock blast and not kill something whereas cloyster with skill link will always hit 5 times

The trainers on victory road are great money too for unova! Just use repels to get around while moving to them! If your cloyster is OHKO everything than don't worry about the choice band but if it's not then I'd do that! Also make sure yours has the ability skill link. If not, use an ability pill on it ($35k from breeder house). Also I highly recommend using an amulet coin! If you make $100k in the hour, you will now make $150k and it only costs $19k!

You will still make about 250k very easy from trainer money just replacing it with some other trainers with the spare charm time while also increasing your leveling exp profit.

Yeah that's what I made with this run. If you skip mori and cynthia, do the trainers on unovas victory road, starting at the top and working down. Skip the karate dude and you will make pretty close to the same amount!

Depending on what you view as a beginner, it doesnt really make sense to make any money guides for beginners since they simply leave the phase too early. If you are really new and want money fast then simply playing the game is a great money maker, its fun and opens a lot of new methods to gain money. If you want the money before you play the story, then you can also go to the first route and catch pidgeys and rattata with good IV and sell them or catch an entire box of male rattatas and sell them for 120k.

@@JinxedBoon Yeah I agree. It must be difficult, but really, the current AI art styles are very limited and generic, most of the time they can be easy to spot and just look odd. Just a recommendation though!

@beefstrokinoff thanks, it's just the trainer that's ai. I make the rest myself! I just couldn't find a generic trainer that looked good and wasn't stolen from an artist

you can also do this with a krookadile with blackglasses. crunch and earthquake
