Just wanted to thank you for all the videos you have uploaded and you will upload. I'm sure I can talk for others that are also learning. A lot of incredible knowledge and value for free. You are a master of your craft and that allows you to make explanations so clearly and also with nuances. You let us know that there are many ways to do things when colorgrading, not just one way. I wish you keep the great work like that. Thank you.

I noticed from a few videos, I learned a lot not only that you teach great, but how sweet you speak. I've never seen anyone on youtube speaking this softly. ❤

Well you can clearly tell you are a great teacher by taking time to speak clearly and timely most people that make this kind of videos they are Not teachers and they just want toshow you how to do it, Big difference.

Fantastic, thanks! Knowing that we all see lots of videos these days and lots of it make to mainstream professional channels, it would be nice to see in the next episodes what is correct and what is not, eg, when the highlights are correct, when the shadows are ok. Many thanks

This video was fantastic. I was trying to wrap my head around how to color grade after shooting a clip in Neutral (Not even Log) and some preset LUTs were just ruining the clips. This workflow description was just what was needed. Thank you so much.

Phenomenal tutorial. How to teach things in an easy way. Following link to the website for the course. Thank you very much for this tutorial. One question, how do you then apply those node to the rest of the clips on the time line so you don't have to do one at a time?
@VintageInsightPhotography2 жыл бұрын
I enjoy your videos. Even more basic question: why have a mode tree? Can’t this type of simple correction be done in one node? In addition, my biggest struggle is balancing the colors of different cameras. I shoot with iPhone 11 Pro, GoPro, DJI mini drone, and a Fujifilm X-E3 (no log video). Do you have a video that shows how to quickly and easily (I’m producing a new 7-15 minute vlog every week) balance the different cameras color AND then apply an overall color grade for a consistent and signature look? Thanks again for all you do.

how to create keyframes with other node settings. e.g. clip with nodes at position 3 sec. After that at position 10 sec I want to change the settings in the nodes without changing the node setting at position 3 sec. Please help or link to the relevant tutorial.

I always wondered what is the harm of just doing all the color stuff on one node ? Im guessing its just being more organized. I am coming from adobe and im new to Davinchi so was just curious.

What is the benefit of using a node over an adjustment layer where you apply all corrections?
@JonJosephKuhn2 жыл бұрын
An adjustment later is like wearing a one piece outfit with built in footies, gloves, and a hood. Nodes are like stylize an outfit from scratch. You pick the shirt, the pants, belt, socks, over shirt, etc…

Hmm... good video, good explanation, but you don't explain, what you do when you toggle between "before" and "after" adding node effects. How do you turn off all nodes? (Without influencing / removing Fusion FX [like KataVR for 360].) How do you toggle simply one node on and off as you do at around 5:06? That would be necessary infos for beginners.

I don't want to sound ungrateful, but your screen wasn't the same as mine and it took me ages to find things that you were using (such as the curve or the colour wheels), then at the end, your clicking something but not showing it saying, before/after before/after So I didn't know what to click on so I could see my before and after. Also, when you were doing the curve thing or similar, I think you should exaggerate what you are showing so we see what is happening and then get it to the setting you want, rather than moving it just a touch and it appears like nothing has happened? Like I said, the main problem I had was the difference in screens and what was showing so maybe you could do a video on setting up the screens and system? I'm excited to learn Davinci (I only have the free version until I learn it better) and it's people like you that help people like me, but you really do need to talk or show us STEP by STEP what you are doing otherwise we get lost very easily. This isn't a complaint but letting you know that we do struggle out here if something isn't happening like it is in your video or we can't see what you click ETC. Again, without people like you, we probably wouldn't even be able to get the program running. Thank you for your videos and I will backtrack now to watch your other videos. Thank you.
