Today I follow the easiest tutorial for sewing a shirred dress from the wonderful independent pattern company BYHANDLONDON
I have really enjoyed following this sewing tutorial and having a go sewing this shirred dress, it really easy sewing project, shirring in itself is quite therapeutic, and after about 8 hours you end up with a gorgeous shirred dress that tends to cost quite a bit of money.

I've watched 2 of your videos and I've just got to say your adorable and your vocabulary cracks me up. Thank you for giving me a realistic idea of this project. After 8.5 hours you looked tired so I think I'm going to by fabric that's already partially shirred and add some sleeves.

I’ve been procrastinating on the same dress and it looks so easy! 😂 I totally understand the basting situation - I was sewing a ruffle onto a skirt the other day and partway round realised my bobbin thread had run out 😐😂
