Please make a video about heat pump wiring system including thermostat wiring control board and defrost board connections and contractor coils connections
@WordofAdviceTV5 ай бұрын
Oh that might be a little more difficult than a straight AC.. Are you talking about breaking down a wiring diagram or to simply film a video by a heat pump explaining how everything is wired up? I won't make any promises but I'll try to get it done later!
@adem79385 ай бұрын
@@WordofAdviceTV maybe filming the wiring connection between thermostat control board and defrost board.

Can you share with me your video that you have putting plexiglass into the window. Thanx
All of my windows are horizontal sliders. I thought I'd never be able to use a window A/C. After seeing this I am now hopeful. Especially since we are so far north we only need A/C about 7-14 days a year. Thx for doing this and sharing it with us.

I’ve always visualized how to install a window unit in a horizontal slider, this hits the nail on the head. One thing to consider though, you have to make sure your window opens wide enough to accommodate the unit. Some windows,(very few) are too narrow for a standard AC. BTW: For a good chuckle video on how NOT to install a window AC, there’s a Seinfeld YT titled “Kramer Installs An AC. It’ll make you laugh and cringe at the same time. Great job as usual, Jay. 👍👍👍 See you next time, stay well.

Glad I could show an example of what you were visualizing! Thank you for the reminder about the window width consideration. That's definitely a good thing to check before starting this project. I watched the video you suggested. 😂😂 I love old shows like that, if anyone else is curious here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5_GiWqZj7ZsfNksi=bdnUC_La4TYuiI9L

Hello 👋 good buddy Jay you did a awesome job installing the window unit. The last couple of mornings it's cool down in the fifties I love it..perfect for the work I've been doing at cemeteries, I reset four tombstones yesterday that was tilted majorly I don't know how they hadn't fell over. I hope you all are doing well and I hope everything works out perfect for your wife I know that It must be close to happening I hope and pray 🙏 it's all good 👍 😊. Summer is going to be over here soon these weeks are flying by . We'll good buddy give everyone a hug 🫂 for me and tell them I love them and I love you my dear friend ❤️ hope you all have a wonderful Sunday I'm visiting my brother today for a bit and I have to go grocery shopping 🛍 🛒 😢 I dread that stores are full on Sundays you all take care and I will be praying for you all everyday ❤️ .

Hi David and thank you! Glad to hear it finally cooled down over there and that you're still doing good deeds at the cemetery. I am sure the families of those people really appreciate it. Thank you for the well wishes and prayers, my wife is feeling good and is at 39 weeks now so the baby should be coming real soon! We are doing a homebirth with a midwife. It's exciting that fall season is coming! Autumn is a wonderful time! Was my favorite season when we lived in Minnesota. We appreciate all the love, hugs, blessings, and prayers my friend!! 🙏🙏 May the Lord bless you in your going out and your coming back! Take care as well! (I can sympathize with not wanting to go to a crowded store by the way. I don't like big crowds too!)

@@WordofAdviceTV my great grandmother 👵 was a mid wife it's untelling how many people she helped delivered there's a few still alive that she helped delivered she passed away in nineteen sixty two. She would rode a horse and she had what they called a side saddle because they made them for women because it wasn't proper for a woman to straddle a horse like a man. I have some pictures of her and I tell you what most of them old people years ago look scary and mean but my grandmother on my dad's side of the family said that she was the nicest person you could meet..my grandmother the mid wife was my mom grandmother. And she said that her grandmother helped delivered babies right up till the last few months of her life, she had a stroke and that is what happened to her but my goodness she lived a very long life she was ninety eight when she passed away.

Unless I’m missing something, my windows are double hung slides up and down. Could I still do this? They don’t slide from left or right?
@WordofAdviceTV5 ай бұрын
If it slides up and down, then you should be able to simply put the air conditioner in and slide the window down on top of it, behind the bracket on top (where I put the metal rod). Up and down windows are even easier and no rod needed.

I bought a 10k btu Hisense window unit 2 years ago and love it. Plenty of power and I can turn on eco mode to save a ton on cooling. In that mode it actually runs like central air, turning on only when the temp rises. Hope this helps
@WordofAdviceTV5 ай бұрын
Hi there! I believe quality has dropped for just about all brands nowadays... The most durable unit would be an old used one with less electronics in it. Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. The new ones all have a high chance of only lasting a few years. I know this doesn't really answer your question but any brand I pick is just as good as any of the recommendations online/reddit.

@WordofAdviceTV5 ай бұрын
My brother, life happened. We moved to Hawaii and the area we live in now doesn't have too many central ACs. All the HVAC videos I used to film were almost all done at my own house. (I don't film at other people's houses unless it's friends or family) So far we had three different rental homes here in Hawaii and none of them had air conditioning, only ceiling fans. That makes it a bit harder to make the kind of videos I used to make. I offered to install a mini-split in my current rental but the homeowner refused. 🤷♂️ So I made some window AC videos instead.
