Really love how you break down the basic structure with the guide lines. I'm new to watercolor and thought it would be cool to do some fall leaves so I went outside and picked up a few good looking ones and was immediately intimidated by how complex they really are. I live on the Central Coast. We still have lots of green trees, eucalyptus and palms. The mornings are now cold (46 degrees), then warms up quickly by 10 am to 70. If I drive towards San Luis Obispo, I see some color from apple orchards, lemons. I have lots of succulents in pots. Thanks for the drawing tutorial!

Jenna, I live in New England, and am surrounded by beautiful fall leaves. You nailed it! Boom! When I paint leaves I shave some watercolor pencils over them with sandpaper and it makes those nice freckles.

I live in Vermont. A small New England state. We’re famous for our fall spectacle of color and maple syrup…which comes from the sap of maple trees!

Oh the irony!!! That's all I did today is rake leaves. Here in Indiana we've already had the "colors". Now most are all on the ground. Except for one tree that just will NOT accept the inevitable. Just "let it go". LOVE the video. Will try to post some of my leaves on the Art Community page.

Alabama here. The maple in the front yard is almost over. The oak in the back is just starting to turn its yellowish fall color. Been thinking it's time to paint some leaves. Thanks for the push!

We’re heading into Spring this side, but I have a massive tree that thinks it’s in autumn 🍂 so I keep having to clean the crunchy rust fall leaves out the gutters. Lol there are sooooo many leaves that if it was a money tree I’d be rich 💰 🌲 🍂 🤣😂
