Easy way to remove Seiko Fat Spring bars
In this video I show you how to remove the standard shoulderless spring bars found on some seiko watches
Disclaimer: I didn't come up with these methods myself. They are known amongst most Seiko dive watch fans, so I thought I would share for those people who haven't seen it yet.

I used dental floss to remove spring bars from my jubilee strap. I guess that's the best method 😆👏 It was tough and challenging to use the spring bar tool 😅 I'm more into nato straps now 👍

Using dental floss is such a great tip, thank you very much. Used it due to lack of a springbar tool and it worked perfectly the first time I tried. Great video :)

I tape around the edges when removing spring bars.

I have a Seiko SKXA35 and it's impossible. The floss simply breaks. The spring tool doesn't seem to latch on to anything. WTF did they make it like this?

Try to make the floss go as close to the lug as possible and pull it inbetween the lug und springbar before you try to pull it out. If you were already doing that (if even possible), then that's really unfortunate. I hope you manage to resolve it!

I think something is wrong with my spring bar, the floss keeps breaking 😢

Try to wiggle the strap a bit after fitting the floss around the spring bar so it gets to the point where the spring bar enters the case. My floss never broke, though I had to use some force, which made the floss really dig into my fingers...

@@TimeHeim I had no straps in as I was using a nato strap, had to end up taking it to the shop and have ordered a spring bar tool in the meantime. Thanks though 👍🏼
