All good points about the watercolor pencils. I am a novice in watercolor and it will take a while to become really good at it, but the wc pencils make me feel a lot more in control. Beautiful cardigan btw (just had to comment on it); you're probably also a good knitter.😉

My complaint with watercolor pencils is they arent as smooth like water colour...more streakyi think. Im using faber castell pencil

I find the Albrecht Durer Magnus pencils more suitable for large areas. As Francois says, don’t over sharpen them. The large lead is ideal, reserving the standard range (or even the Polychromos range) for detail work.
