I agree that the method in the video is faster and probably more efficient, but I honestly prefer the Letterbomb method. It's also the only method I've ever used since I've only done it once before

@@Sibor-sk6tj So, in the video the gentleman does it 3 times. But in the written instruction on the website, the new updated version does it 4 times. So first time do 38 and then 248. Then the second time do 56 and 249. And follow down the line of numbers I posted. If you're still confused try the written instructions on the website where you downloaded it.

FYI, you can use any size SD card. The reason Nintendo stated 32gb was the limit is because Windows or Mac OS won’t convert anything higher than 32gb to fat32 without separate software (Nintendo figured it was too much trouble to explain to “non tech” users) . I myself use a 512gb SDXC card (and a 1-2tb hard drive) when modding a Wii. From time to time I’ll also create a virtual nand on the SD card depending on the amount of Wii shop games and channels the customer wants me to install. Between Wii disc game saves, DLC, Wii shop games and channels, the measly 512mb of internal storage (in which all that data needs to be installed to in order for the Wii to run) will run out quickly.

The link for d2xios installer link will now be the updated V11 beta 1. It will have different instructions for what base and slots to use. As far as I can tell; the new version 11 has 4 base/slot steps, where as the V10 beta 52 had 3 steps in this video. I was initially quite confused when I couldn't find the option for Beta 52. I hope this helps someone who runs into the same thing. Thanks.

Note: if you dont have gc ports, you cant restore nand backups with bootmii as it requires u to input the konami code with a gc controller, and if u cant u cant do it. u dont have to enter it if ur wii has bootmii boot2 though, which all non gc compatible wiis cant install.

Uhm I don't think that's how it works... You can navigate through BootMii without a GC pad...

the wii family edition came out in 2012, with no gamecube controller ports boot1 was patched in near 2008, so no family edition wiis will be able to have bootmii as boot2

It took me a while because I wanted to make sure I didn't break my Wii but this was an AWESOME tutorial! The only thing I found was that the install codes for Beta v10 were incorrect as it seems there's been an update on the Wii guide site. I don't even remember what step that was but I just changed the info 4+ times with what the website referenced with the same directions and it worked! Thanks!!

I had an eero router that my Wii wasn’t seeing in automatic search, I manually added the connection in the manual option, on security I choose the WPS2 option and entered the SSID and password manually, hope this helps!

My Xfinity router is too new to connect to my wii so I have to use my phone mobile hot spot and the wii connects but the auto obtain dns advanced settings shows IP address, subnet mask, and default router instead of Primary DNS and Secondary DNS. Any way to help?

Login to your xfinity router and turn off WPA password temporarily

It's worth realizing that the Wii doesn't have a compliant wireless implementation. Even when new, it wouldn't work quite right. If the advice you were given doesn't work, I was able to use a no name USB to ethernet adapter to do the job.

Yes you can I just did it. Just go through and re enter the dns settings and then go to user agreements again like before. Don't install homebrew again it's already there
