Interesting Fact about Bowser's Big Blast. If you're familiar with the statistical/philosophical concept of the Monty Hall Problem, you can actually adapt that concept to give yourself a much better than random chance. Mario Party is Serious Business.

The Monty Hall problem is a different issue entirely. In that case, you first pick one of three doors and are then shown one of the three doors the prize isn't behind, you are then given the option to switch your pick. You have a better chance of winning the prize if you then switch your pick. In that case you wanted the blast, the blast was the prize. This isn't that case, because out of three picks two are safe and one is dangerous. But if two had held the blast and Huber was given a chance to pick, then given the opportunity to switch his pick after one of the blasts had been revealed, that would be an example of the Monty Hall problem. But, as it is, with three plungers Huber had the same odds every single time and those odds were better than Ian's. Huber had a 2/3 odds of surviving every single time and coming after him Ian had only a 1/2 odds of surviving every single time.

In this adaptation of the concept you guess at random which one is dangerous each round. Your earliest guess is always the most likely to not be the dangerous one, so you choose your earliest still-existing guess from your array of picks. Even though you invert the intent of your guess, the statistical phenomenon still applies. For example: at 11:04 I guessed that Yellow was the bomb at random. at 11:15 Huber got rid of one of the choices. So now I ask myself. Do I still think that the bomb is in yellow? or Do I change my guess to Pink? It would be logical to change my guess to pink, and so I would have chosen yellow because the bomb had a 1/2 chance of being in pink but only a 1/3 chance of being in yellow. Now of course there's the chance that another player could get rid of your guess, in which case you're stuck with a 50/50 situation. But also for the majority of the game there are many more than 3 switches and so you store your guess from each round in your memory, and your earliest guess that is still on the board is the least likely to be the bomb.
