The Phantom documentary clip was not created by me - it is just an introduction to the story that follows 😊

hey ECR. Fantastic Spectres everyone of them great covers & detail, hopefully when I start collecting again that's a title I'd like to collect, never had it before. Very cool Phantom doc, I love things like that, on the history of comics docs etc, Phantom is another title I'd like to collect, I don't think I ever had that title before could be wrong though. Very cool & clever how you added audio to those comics. I commented last night on your video right before this one.

Yes!!! A good story is always Icing on the cake but what attracts me to the medium of comics so much is the ART!!! Having said that my favorite was the second slide with Deathlock .. love how the music was playing but you could see who did the pencils, ink, and writing/cover credits!!! All of them had thier own charm Very well done thanks again my Chicano Hermano! 👊🏼

@@jacobbornowsky4013 Gracias Jacob 👊😎 I will definitely include more information on the creators, I will also include who wrote the issue along with the letterer. Deathlok was an awesome character - almost The Terminator before the Terminator 👍Appreciate you watching my friend 🫡

You never disappoint Easy! On the contrary, you keep getting better! And you keep selecting music from my personal heartstring playlist! That intro once again hit the perfect sweet spot! Known in the U.S. as ''Sukiyaki'', a stupid title that has nothing to do with the theme of the song, the real name of the japanese hit song (sold 13 millions of copies worldwide!) is "Ue o Muite Arukō" which translate to "I Look Up as I Walk". The song was written to be interpreted in many ways, someone gazing at the sky longing for something/someone lost. * * * I never realized how so many top quality artists contributed covers for the 90's Spectre series written by the great John Ostrander. Not a single dud in the lot! All were spectacular! * * * The BBC intro to the Phantom was an astute selection to put the creation of the Phantom comic strip in perspective of the following emergence of the comic book superhero genre it contributed to inspire. * * * And you can never get enough John Severin war comics! But your selection was a particularly well written one to boot!

@@Rangersly Thank you for the kind words and support Amigo 😊 Ue oMuite Aruko always brings a smile to my face. I am still working on completing that particular Spectre run, but that is what the digital format does - it is an economical way to understand what the writer has in store for the series. Another reason for digital is getting some classic stories without spending a lot of money ( ex: Golden Age DC). Thanks for the insight as always my friend 🫡

I was wondering why they looked so sharp, so I had to go back and re-listen, "kindle collection" a-ha! Digital. I loved your tailgunner scene treatments and sound effects for Our Army at War. And your fire pit video the other day was cool too, buddy!

@@Quite_Nuff_Sayer Digital will never replace the real deal - but they sure make it easier to take a quick snapshot 😁 Thank you for noticing the gunner effects on Our Army at War - blended two audio files with two musical soundtracks. Take care brotha - hope to see your video tomorrow 🫡

I love that opening song footage, Easy! It's one of those songs I remember hearing infrequently on the radio as a kid but always loved it. Incredible musical find, brother! The Spectre! A longtime fave character! Great collection of that series. Deathlock was such a cool and interesting character for me growing up. I really enjoyed his occasional x-overs with other Marvel heroes. Great piece on The Phantom too! I remember he was my main reason for reading the Sunday funnies in the newspapers. LOVE the DC War piece with the National Anthem playing! Great work throughout this video once again, Mike! I really love the concept, the comics and the amount of quality production you put into each episode. Wonderful and fun show, my friend!👊😎👍

Interesting and cool stuff as always mate. I love that Spectre run from the 90's I bought them as they hit the shops. One of my favourite series all with awesome covers and mostly sublime Mandrake interior art, I was so happy when Tom came on to my channel for a chat some time ago, I was a total fanboy. The addition of the sound FX to the comic panels adds a great touch of atmosphere to them mate, well done. The song with the guy talking about being in a madhouse was strange!! Not sure what that was all about, was that you lol Sgt Rock from Easy Company is very appropriate for your channel

@@thegreyman I'm definitely working on all the Spectre series - the first one is done 👍 I need to check out your interview with Mandrake 😎 The Deathlok audio was a bit of a stretch - I was going for the whole " who am I and what has happened to me" angle like the character went through in the story. The audio is from an old interview with a guy who had schizophrenia. The war story featured footage from WWII air combat battles. Thanks for checking out the video Amigo - I'm still experimenting 🫡
