When practicing I used to get so caught up in my hands / feet interactions I really didn't develop my hand chops as much. A friend told me to practice just hands on the kit for at least half the practice session. That's what friends are for. My playing skyrocketed and my footwork actually got better. Anyway great video brother. Love it.

@carlinmuccular yeah I would watch and practice with this Virgil Donoti video called power drumming....and he would isolate limbs and just work em individually. Really strenuous stuff. I didn't like it at first but stuck it out. Gold. Peace sir!

Nice.Hip playing :) But lesson maybe confusing for some people, you are changing sticking from rrllrr to rrlrll mid way in examples. Just a friendly heads up :)

The lesson isn't The Way it's A way. Meaning I'll show the water, how to get to the water, but I can't make you drink how I drink... just use ya ears and let ya mind and hands do the rest.

Why is your beater angle so much further forward? Doesn't look like it connects to the head flad. Not sure if it's the camera angle or not

Can you please explain to me why drummers angle their cymbals like that especially when they start playing for big crowds
@carlinmuccular9 ай бұрын
It's all preference, it doesn't mean anything special. It supports the sound I like to get out of my cymbals when I hit them.
