My issue with chops are how to actually time and enter them, how do one know... Ok.. i have to enter after i hit the 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, then will a paradiddle work, or doubles or triplets, then how and where do i get out. And in almost every church chop or gospel chop, i always hear the "kkrkrl" and you always hear there's chopy and quirky sticking on the snare. Is it a rule? And how do you even know the right chop for a 70 bpm song, 80, 90, 100 or even 120. Im so confused

At the beginning of the video , I noticed the snare was hit first with R Hand and then the chop. Was the chop started with the L hand? And you managed to accent the R Hand on the snare instead of the L hand originally?

I’m having a hard time teaching my students to play German. I see your playing a much looser grip like Tony Williams. Should I be less critical on their technique if it looks closer to your technique than classic German?
