I'm a little leery of the decision to send the play mat folded. They will be on a boat in hot, humid temperatures, with a lot of weight on top for weeks. By the time we get the play mats, the neoprene will be stressed beyond repair. Beyond that, I'm looking forward to receiving my pledge.

Just one thing that would have been amazing is a bit more art on the maps. They looks so barren and naked. A few flourishes and details (like hand drawn little houses and trees) would have made a big big difference here.

Had to find the balance between readability, interest, and not letting them dominate the table when they're a fairly small part of the primary gameplay loop

Yes, for sure. In fact you'll see some quest hooks already built in for future regions when you begin to explore the gazzeteers :-) Definitely planning more regions/Skill Lines/surprises for the future, even if it absolutely seems impossible to me that anyone would ever even have the time to play through everything that's already here 🙂

hello CTG, could you please add dual wield as a new skill line in the next expansion (for example, Elsweyr)? One such interesting weapon skill many players have explored in Elder scroll online, especially as Night blades, is the weapon skills involved with dual-wielding.

I didn't see this mentioned in the comments, or hear it mentioned in the video, but will there be some amount of extra card dividers, in case the way we want to organize the cards is slightly different than the way you envision organizing the cards? It always seems that most games put in way fewer dividers than what I would like for easy organization/setup/teardown.

When Chip Theory came on the scene they gave us premium board games, components unrivaled. A few years ago when IV Studios switched to board games they did so with a similar mindset. If Chop Theory ever partners with other studios to offer 20 Strong modules of their games, I would love to see a colab with IV Studios.

Yes 👏 I could definitely see MythicMischief and Moonrakers be adapted to 20 strong. I think moonrakers would be the easiest with the amount of lore IV has on it, but MythicMischief would just be such a cool theme

I'm waiting for it in Spanish and I don't know if I'll be able to last until the first months of next 2025 to enjoy it. In the video you talk about a mobile application that helps guide the game process, but I didn't understand the name of the application very well. It sounds to me like you say something like "ded" or "daed" or something like that... could you clarify the exact name for me? I've looked for it in the play store and haven't found anything. It plays great solo, and none of the content is locked behind any player count wall (Too Many Bones for example had separate solo/multiplayer decks, we built BotSE so everything was playable at all player counts!)

They don't, but there's a reason. You don't play with the cards in that long box, they all get pulled out and loaded into the card tray. The card tray has icons on it that tell you where to put each card type. So the long box dividers are really just there to make grabbing the different types of cards a little cleaner - not to permanently indicate what type of card is where.

No labels for dividers in the base game. With the different ways people wanted to store things (by region, by card type, etc), we decided to leave it label free. Also, the dividers were a last minute addition that we had not promised or advertised, so we didn't want to slow down production (as we were about ready to submit all PVC for manufacturing at the time).

I (Ghillie) haven't handled the Splendor chips in a long while, so I'm not certain Splendor's are as heavy as ours (11.5g on ours), but yes they are the same style bare minimum.

TLDR: most of the chips are similar quality. … It depends on which version of Splendour, the older versions have high quality heavy chips, if you want the health chips to feel like the Splendor ones then I’d suggest the upgrade. The base health are not weighted which is why the upgrade exists (worth it imho). Most chips in the game are weighted (metal inside) slightly lighter than the old splendour ones but very similar feel.
