@earth111165 жыл бұрын

@McCaroni_Sup3 жыл бұрын
Tbh for me Morrowind and Skyrim are tied for atmosphere, the aliens landscapes of the land of the Dunmer and the mead reeking rustic feel of the cold lands of the Nords are leagues better than the rather generic (albeit colorful) atmosphere that Cyrodiil has. Though oblivion was perhaps a victim of it's setting. However, in terms of mechanics my favorite was Oblivion. It's a nice balance between the totally old school feel of Morrowind and the more casual and modern sensibilities Skyrim offers. I feel Skyrim lost something when they simplified some of the mechanics but at the same time Morrowind felt outdated. Also the quests in oblivion are the best. In terms of atmosphere most people say Morrowind but after playing the previous elder scrolls games you start to realize just how unique Skyrim's atmosphere is. I didn't really pay much mind to the Nordic feel of Skyrim at first but after playing oblivion and being reminded so much of Skyrim by Bruma, it made me realize what I did.
@PelinalDidNothingWrong3 жыл бұрын
I have to agree with you there!
@northwindkey3 жыл бұрын
@@McCaroni_Sup I do prefer Skyrim's atmosphere to Oblivion's (Oblivion is too much grassland IMO. I love snowy themes so Skyrim gets a huge plus there), but I just love how utterly weird Vvardenfell is. I'll also agree that as time passed I have somewhat felt Skyrim's over-simplicity. I still really like it, but the more into RPGs I get the more somewhat disappointed I am at Skyrim being a bit dieted down in terms of the RPG side of things.
@mrzirak79211 ай бұрын
I prefer Morrowind and Skyrim's atmosphere and aesthetic, less generic (though i loved Daggerfall and Arena sprites) and sterile (like Oblivion and TESO), while the story goes to Morrowind, though i love Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC and Oblivion's Shivering Isles. And both Oblivion and Morrowind has some of the best mechanics imo, especially with alchemy and sheer variety of spells (not to mention ability to create custom spells, minor schools of magic and ability cast spell in armed hand).

Dale Gribble I know that, but the Oblivion theme does too and it doesn’t sound as nostalgic. And there’s also the rest of the soundtrack (well, aside from Silt Sunrise = Jerall Mountains). True, but understanding differences and marginalizing individuals because of cultural differences are two different things. The latter being the bad part. I get what you're saying, though. Kind of like how I never take anyone seriously who says,"Oh, I'm not racist; I don't see color." That's just worse, because all their prejudice is implicit and modernized. It's even worse if they say, "I'm not prejudiced, because I have friends who are part of X." Get outta here with that bullshit.

So I downloaded the guy's music and made it a playlist for my car. Just so I could put it super loud and floor it a bit... I left tuesday, and only got back home saturday. I spent hundreds of dollars of gas, visited 5 cities in 2 different countries, one of them a capital, spent 2 nights in bars, slept in 3 different places, got a childhood friend drunk for the first time of his life, flirted with three different women in two different languages, did backflips on a dancefloor until the bouncer... gave me unlimitted vodka. I learnt how to use chopsticks and ate two grams of wasabi sauce without blinking. I picked a lock, and bought a knife that I smuggled accross the border. I wrote a haiku: I'm looking ahead. Devouring the horison, All to go nowhere. It's just going to be a little difficult to explain to my mom why it took me four days to go get some milk.
