I'm so glad you mentioned that commercial. I first learned about the Hamilton/Burr duel from a Milk advertisement. Thank you for the detailed elaboration on their rivalry. Fun Fact: that commercial was directed by Michael Bay. You can tell because the camera never stops moving.

The duel did not result from haniltions action s in this election but from the 1804 new york .gubernatorial race where hamilton not only publicy skung mud at burr but did the unthinkable and basically joined the democratic-republican party to ensure their canidate defeated burr

Jeesh this did not lead tlo that duel...it was hamiltons work against burr in the 1804 governers race that did that. Hamilton was so. Obsessed with burr je basically was ex-communicated from the federalists, the party he created.

Could you give us a lecture on the purpose of the Electoral College? Why don't we have direct democracy, i.e. voters vote for the President like they vote for U.S. Congressmen and U.S. Senators. I think it's ridiculous that we have a President elect who won with 2.5 million fewer votes than his opponent. It calls into question the legitimacy of Trumps victory.
