Absolute monster of a player. By his last few years at United he was not even a 1/4 of the player he was in his first half of his United career. People forget how good he was - it was only until 2007/08 did Ronaldo overtake him and kick on, from 2003-06 Rooney was seen as just a big if not bigger talent (certainly from 2003-2005 and then Ronaldo started maturing really from 2006 onwards). It's actually a pity Rooney didn't elevate his game to an all time great level. He'll still go down as one of the greatest in the Premier league and for England.

P/s: feel a bit sad when listing all of our great striker in the pass while for the past 7 8 years we have no real great and consistent striker.
