I like that the music starts right about where its clear the drone is pretty good. It looks like they got the vtx antenna right on this one. Your content as well as others have helped encouraged me to share my drone flights. I wish I had a 1080p capable setup, but I'm also enjoying looking for ways to make my tinyhawk freestyle 2 better for next to nothing and getting better at flying regardless of gear. 80+ packs in this spring so far :D Thanks for making encouraging and well made content!

I gave the Flywoo Explorer a pass because it isn't very good at freestyle but this one is really tempting. Emax is killing it with every drone they put out. I think their fancy and quite props are part of the astonishing efficiency, even with the v-shaped arms causing more turbulence.

@NURK FPV LiIon batts are great. Good Sony cells like Flywoo uses you can take down to 2.5V safely, so 10V is fine, and they usually bounce back to above 3V. I've gotten 30min from my DIY Explorer LR with Flywoo LiIon pack, just cruising like you were.

I still have my Babyhawk R😁. They fly awesome, but I've always wished it was a top mount freestyle quad, instead of a bottom mount racer. Guess this new Babyhawk 2 Freestyle is Emax granting my wish😁. You can probably still find Babyhawk R's for sale on eBay.

@NURK FPV For the crossfire version the antenna needs to be changed to the full size Immoral T for the range your getting (I think, I haven't made the modification yet). But it may have been my fault sitting on alum bleachers and flying behind me... *shrug* love that quad already. Fly's so nice.

Great flight as usual. ordered the djiv2 and this quad with cross fire a little over a month a go, got the quad before the goggles, go figure. With a good set of antennas what can I get for range. Looks like your flying the all dji set up I would be using taranis xd9 with module. I'd like to get some epic shots of the mountains this year. Thanks for any advice.

a small critique: having the wrong battery really throws off the whole review. weight is such an important factor for quads so i'd be great to see at least one flight with what the manufacture recommends. I know its a pain for reviewers to have a bunch of different batteries but its important. Keep up the good work though!

@@opossumfpv The GEPRC Smart 35 is just 'meh.' It did not bring anything new to the table over the BabyHawk HD, and in many respects it is actually a downgrade. The BabyHawk HD has a Nebula Pro camera, the GepRC ships with Nebula Nano. If you haven't seen comparisons of nebula nano vs pro, take a look, the nebula nano is a far, FAR worse camera. Another problem with the GEPRC Smart 35 is that the props are in view. The babyhawk was designed so that props are never in your view, which is nice to have for HD video. So I'm just not impressed with the GEPRC 3.5" and have felt it was a quick and dirty attempt to capitalize on the interest in the Babyhawk HD.

@@opossumfpv Also the word I’ve heard through the grapevine of people who keep up with manufacturers is that emax has stopped new production of this quad as of the very end of May due to the chip shortage. It is really hard to get the digital system parts, and board components are way more expensive. Rather than put out a sub par product they are just putting it away until 2022z

Excellent review Nurk! The antenna placement makes it a terrible option for LR, though. It must be a few inches taller so you never shadow it with the carbon frame... also, it would be good to know if it´s got a spare uart for gps.... Regards!

Hey this is Matt from EMAX :) We have two gopro mount designs for this that will be selling and also giving the stl file to print. One is a couch style where you hold the gopro on with a strap. This is good for session and the hero. Next mount is a lugged style kind that is great for the hero to bolt right on. I fly mine with a hero 8 all the time. Its perfect for the low and slow flights where you need some cool cinematic shots. Defiantly should not try to rip it freestyle with the gopro on it but for smooth flowy flights its perfect. Check out EMAX thingy verse and our store in the next week or so for the mounts.

Heya Nurk, great video! It made me want to go out and buy one. Unfortunately even on the 2nd profile for heavy loads it couldn't lift my explorer lithium ion pack and burned up a motor. Hi NURK I have always liked Emax products. I don't like how they didn't include a analog version. Not everyone is able to own it. I live on $600 a month, so I won't have it. But I still don't think they made it to carry a GoPro except for the 360go. You using the LIONPACK made me think that I should try it out for a 4in I just finished. I'm more interested in long range/cinematic instead of freestyle. 2. Any word on the caddx vista adding support to the new DJI FPV controller? I would like to skip buying the old controller.
