Bran totally knew Daenerys was going to burn King’s Landing and kill thousands of people, but he kept quiet about it, even though he could have helped. When he was asked about being Lord of Winterfell, he said he couldn’t be a lord. But when it came to being king, he casually asked, “Why do you think I came all the way here🤓?” I guess he was aiming higher. Maybe he wanted to be king, or maybe the Iron Chair was just more comfortable than his wooden one. Bran might just be the smartest player in Game of Thrones lol

I was still holding out that Dany did not become the Mad Queen. I had two possible theories. First, Bran warged into Drogon and was controlling him. Honestly, after rewatching the series through 79Til’s perspective, season 8 is not as bad as I remember it being. Rushed, yes, ending with Bran the king, weird, but there were some good moments in between and a lot of things (like Dani going crazy) which didn’t make sense to me the first time around, make a lot more sense after rewatching this way. I’ll always love Game of Thrones. An extra season or two to expand the character arcs would have made it better, but it’s still an unbelievable show and achievement and season 8 is improving in my mind retrospectively.

Watching it again with you guys, I think Dany told us who she was from the beginning. If Jon Snow tried to become king that would honestly make him a massive hypocrite, the Unsullied and Dothraki would've declared war and so many people would have to die for Jon to get that crown that the entire series just finished establishing is bullshit because power corrupts everybody. The reason why Bran makes for the perfect king in this ending is because he isn't human, he's not gonna succumb to power. Honestly biggest problems with the end is the Unsullied/Dothraki deciding to just up and leave empty handed like that. There is no universe where they don't stay and make some claim to a part of Westeros, they bled for Dany and her claim. They WILL feel entitled to a piece of it and I don't care what Worm wants, he's just one man never-mind the Dothraki, who will take just one look at all the agriculture and gold they can raid and are 100% setting up shop in Westeros. Second is the optics on Sansa having the nerve to ask Bran for the North to be independent in front of all the other Great Houses who would still have to be vassals to the Crown. Her brother, a Stark who just got elected king giving his own blood independence and nobody else. Yeah nobody is going for that, not the Iron Islands, not Dorne, especially not who takes control of the Westerlands unless it's assumed to be Tyrion. It's a fairytale ending for sure giving how egregious killing Dany really is, I get Grey Worm didn't wanna stay in Westeros, but it's not up to him. Nevermind the fact that Dany was holding her forces together and not him...
@TheStinalee20112012 сағат бұрын
All that would have to happen for Jon to become king.... So why when Danny was alive did they make it seem like it was so easy to get him on the throne?

Not sure about the Dothraki, at least what we have shown earlier suggests they are ready the dismiss any leader as soon as they seem weak. They probably are not the most loyal people. They might not be as upset about Dany being killed as the Unsullied.

Bran was useless. He gave the North its independance, yet Dorne and The Iron Islands aren't gonna rebel? Dorne married into the Kingdoms, that is why the main family are all Princes and Princesses. The Iron Islands rebelled twice, yet suddenly they did nothing? For some useless man? All Bran did was fuck over Hodor and Summer and then caused the Night King to have access to pass the wall. Bronn becoming Master of Coin is a whole other joke in itself. Just a whole dumpster fire. Ans Brienne becoming the biggest bird of all time was beyond pathetic. For some man who completely regressed in the end.

What everyone misses in this ending is North of the Wall didn't become a winter wasteland until the Night King was created. It used to be an area of plenty. As they are walking out of the tunnel, there is a blade of grass coming up from the snow. Jon is not going to a wasteland, he is going to a place that will transform in the years to come. A whole new kingdom aligning with the Stark family. Still, I'd have liked to see Jon on the Iron Throne. They said the most powerful lords of Westeros were there to pick a king, Gendry should've been there.
