I bought my R75 Carpathian gray Metallic with two tone interior/red seats coupe and I am awed by just how special it actually is!!! I live in New England and nobody really drives a Jaguar. I didn't until 2016 and Damn my 3.5 supercharched v6 XE First Edition is bomb!!! I couldn't trade it until now!! The suspension was/is phenomenal now the F-Type is game changing! I hope you get yours someday my friend what a great video and completely perfect review with spot on remarks!! I felt myself and everything including the manual all wheel v-8 recommendations

Thanks for sharing! The F-Type is such an awesome car, we’re glad we all had the privilege here on the channel to book one for a week each. It’s a car we don’t see often even here around Toronto, so it’s definitely special. Enjoy your new ride!

No need to be disappointed about the 3500 limit for the exhaust sounds. You can just pull fuse 15 and you will have sweet sound all over the rev range. If you want that all the time you just leave the fuse out. If you want the ability to have that sound all over the rev range, but also have it switchable to go back to the way it is by default with fuse 15 in place, there are ways to set that up as well so that you can have the best of both worlds. Apparently pulling fuse 15 brings even better sounds more generally beyond just removing the 3500 rpm limit as well (some better farts/pops/bangs etc).

@@danoc0408 I basically drive mine in loud mode all the time, but I set it up to be able to have it like that or be stock at the click of a button (programmed to the 3rd garage door opener button on the ceiling). See the forums for more info if interested. I didn’t want the exhaust valves to seize. This way they at least get exercised here and there. Didn’t want the situation where I might want to take the car to the dealer for warranty work, only to have the valves stuck after replacing fuse 15 ahead of going sorta thing…Also preserves super quiet GT mode should I ever want it. So yeah, it’s the equivalent of fuse 15 pulled and dynamic mode all the time for me essentially…And manual sport shifting…Apparently doing that makes the sound the best as well? Gives such a rewarding experience sound-wise regardless. Congrats on the purchase. I will never sell mine. These are such great cars. I don’t think any of the videos on the Internet do the car justice.

is the sound system/speakers really that bad in this car? Compared to other premium cars?
@PRNTestDrive9 күн бұрын
Its not bad, but it isn't great. Most luxury brands are going with higher end audio systems, Burmester, Bang & Olufson, even Klipsch in the new Infiniti QX80. This Jaguar's Meridian system is alright, but not as good as what Mercedes-Benz or BMW offer at this price point. Realistically you could argue that the audio system isn't as important on a grand tourer like this, as you're meant to listen to the sound of the car more than music.

In response to your question about reliability… These latest variants have the advantage of being at the end of the development cycle. As such, these cars represent the most worked out and refined F-type you will find. They have all the little issues of the past cars addressed with updated parts. The motor and transmission setup is essentially bullet proof (has been around forever and used in many vehicles). There are a few things to keep an eye on around the engine for cooling, but even then the problematic parts for that stuff have been revised/addressed. This really is the best F-type ever. Some view the F-type as the most reliable car in the Jag lineup. The nay sayers like to quote electrical problem yada yada…Also old speak…One of the positive influences of Tata ownership is that they explicitly set out to improve reliability. As part of that they changed to Bosch as the supplier of their electronics for these cars. This has directly contributed to improvements in general reliability, and specifically with the electronics end of things. There are unfortunately some legit reliability concerns over on the Range Rover Land Rover side, and that reliability brush often gets unjustly painted onto the Jags unfairly. I have family and friends who own modern Jag products (F-types and XEs). No issues. Having recently purchased a 2024 F-type R here in Canada myself, I never would have done that if I wasn’t reasonably confident in the car’s reliability. It wouldn’t matter how much I like the car (and I do like these cars, trust me). If the reliability was horrid it would have been a hard pass. Fortunately my first hand experience and research show they are fine. You just have to sift through all the outdated uninformed historical baggage garbage info out there. The final practical thing I would add is that people buying these cars don’t necessarily require supreme reliability either. Reasonable reliability could be enough mixed in with other factors. If reliability was the top concern then there are boring Toyotas that will do that best. For passion purchases the rules are different.

I recently rented a F-Type (convertible version) for 3 days in Germany, and I can say your review is spot on. I'm a bit more negative though - and it's all relating to two things. The storage capacity in the convertible is horrible. I actually opted for the Coupé when I put in the reservation but got the convertible instead. I know, I know - that you should not expect storage space in cars like this - but it's really ridiculously small - and I drive a coupé on a daily basis (Mercedes C-class) so I don't need that much, but in comparison it's something you should really consider when opting in on this car. The second part is the overall feel of the quality in the cabin. Too much cheap plastic and I got a feeling of cheap / old school interior. The steering wheel, the buttons etc. much of it feels outdated and of lower quality than it should be in such a price range. Oh, also the way the tail pipes are slightly pointing upwards looks weird to me. All that being said, they sound - oh my god... AMAZING! and the driving experience is amazing. It's so stable even at 250 km/h on the Autobahn. I was laughing and smiling due to the sounds this car makes. On cold start in the morning, it sounds like you have just started a race car. Absolutely insane!. Would I buy one? Never, usability, overall quality feel is not good enough for me - also the sound of the blinker is annoying. But a fun and beautiful car for sure.

Thanks for the review - I’ve been looking at these the last few months and I’m 90+% sure I’m going ahead, with one n(vs. a used 911 or 918 Cayman) although I’m not sure I will go with the v8 or the v6. My heart says v8 all the way, but I’m wondering if it’s overkill… Growing up in western Canada, we used to say Jaguar like you do - Jagwire - but that was 30 years ago and please, it’s Jaguar, pronounced Jag-you-are lol.!!
