Teek is actually less farmers. Than older TLps The Random Loot /Free Trade is the right rule set. And Opening up at Kunark.

They're now suspending for multiplicity and other keystroke programs. This may be the first time in Daybreak history because Teek is so popular, but now all third-party software is being targeted. If you go into the discords, forums, etc for third-party software you can see everyone chatting about what they were doing when they got suspended and it seems it is not really MQ anymore, it's all the keystroke, auto programs.

"There should never be another traditional rule set." I mean, that is a pretty interesting hot take, but I disagree - traditional rulesets are fine. The issue, I think, isn't that Tormax was bad, it was that Teek was so lucrative. Plus, there was a ton of hype about Tormax being DOA that DBG didn't listen to at all. Traditional rulesets still have their place, it's just that when you launch a server like Mischief/Teek, you should expect a lot of draw to that server.

Honestly I don't think releasing a Mischief clone every year would be good for the game. I think it would spread the players too thin. I don't think they would ever DO this because they probably get so much money each year from bag sales and people renewing their accounts and whatnot, but I would like it if they moved to an every-other-year release cadence for TLPs. How many of us have never seen content beyond GoD or OoW because the allure of a new TLP is too strong to resist? Personally I'm a little bit tired of the TLP release cadence. I want it to slow down a bit...

I noticed the 2-3 months per expansion is a long time if you play 8 hours a day, but when you don't it's not even close to long enough, I was raiding on Mischief a lot and a lot of times I logged in it was do I go to a raid or just try to do some stuff myself and have fun, never really had time to do both and I raid only to get gear so that I can do some cool things boxing, it would be neat to see a casual expansion release time, they could release all the expansions of the same level instead so the release would classic/kunark/velious/luclin, six months later maybe like pop/ykesha/ldon/gates

As a returning player after 20 years who’s loving Teek, anecdotally I can say that I’ve run into a fair number of other old veterans who’ve also returned. For whatever reason, I think the interest and hype for Teek have brought in a lot of “new” players, compared to other TLPs. As far as grouping, I’m going really slowly (level 19 after 12 days), and am still finding groups pretty easily.

I started off with orc groups in Nektulos, then moved on to crocs and orcs in North and South Ro, then to Unrest. I use the LFG flag, and ask for groups in the New Player channel, and in /ooc. All of those zones have had multiple picks, and they still seem quite full. I’m hoping it keeps staying that way!

I box an sk and cleric. Always make my own groups. Doesn't take more than 10 mins to get a solid group ATM if you build.

Using key repeaters will get you banned. How do I know? Happened to me on Teek. Was not using anything else.

I've always wanted them to make a multiple character server. Where you could have multiple characters from the same account on at the same time.

They should take a page out of the WoW classic book and make a server launch with low level caps. Level 10 for a few weeks, than level 20, than level 30, ect. Make EQ Classic+ and make raid encounters for old school dungeons.

I see but Vaniki had GoD content and what not released at the start, lvl 40 max at the start and no extra raid content. Part of why the WoW Classic+ worked is the focus on low level caps (25 i think it was?) and letting players take their time to enjoy early content. Also adding actual new low-level raid content too. Could be a new raid in Unrest, Blackburrow or Befallen, Guk ect. Even just new outdoor bosses could be interesting too, imagine Flippy Darkpaw gets leveled up for some revenge...

People cant find groups on Teek? Lol, what? I ran around Gfay and Commons last night and the camps were all camped, and there were people everywhere. Qeynos was busy too, although it was not as much, but that's normal.

Wait till the boxers attempt an encounter that IGNORES pets like many of the progression events that are referred to as mini raids. On Firiona Vie we use my wife's mage pet for all tanking purposes. We were in for a rude awakening when we attempted some newer expansion progression steps. One is a single boss encounter that (think it is Terror of Luclin xpac): -spawns adds you have to CC -puts Death touches on you that have to be cured -continuously tank the boss Our first attempt, wife got summoned in the first few seconds and died. We then tried with me three boxing on one pc (on FV). I tried tanking on my 122 Sk, curing with my 123 Druid, CCing with my 125 Bard, and wife dps'd on her 125 Mage and we used (2) healer mercs. Best we got him down to was around 15%. I could not life tap often enough while also curing while also ccing. We have never used automated software or even key broadcast software. I just move my mouse around on my 55" 4k screen into each client window. I could not effectively box all four for the event. Was glad to hear of the latest suspension/ban wave. Tired of hearing how easy these botters beat hard events with mediocre toons just because their software could utilize the toon to it's fullest perfectly at the perfect time every time. They also have max AA's cause they leave their toons in game 24/7 grinding AA's. I wrote all that to say, these mages eventually are going to find out they will need an actual tank at some point. Also to say, we re-subbed yesterday after hearing of the ban wave. Curious to see if people start grouping up to do stuff more now. The guild we are in was decimated because so many of them got suspended/banned.

It's these early expansions only, mages go way way way down like by Planes of Power they are used for COTH only just about lol, I know that feeling when they add multiple mechanics into the game that makes it tougher for real boxers but that's why MQ was so popular it would be healing for you, curing for you, etc.

MQ2 developers are doing more for EverQuest’s longevity than Darkpaw and their management. As a former, MQ2 boxer on live servers, it always bothered me that they allowed MQ2 on TLPs.

Yelinak/Tormax player here. Your commentary makes no sense. You say people should be able to play on servers with the ruleset that they want, and then in the next breath say they should stop doing traditional ruseset servers. I don't like gimmick rulesets. I started on Yelinak 8 months after launch, as a returning player, so I missed the early days. There was no opportunity to catch a ground-floor traditional ruleset the following year, as DB came up with the new ruleset for Oakwynd. If there was no traditional rulseset server this year, I would be continuing on on Yelinak until one became available. We haven't all been here the whole time. There is a constant trickle of returning players. Some of those want the ruleset they remember. It doesn't diminish your Teek experience at all if I'm playing on Tormax. I will never play on a non-standard ruleset, so I'd never be part of the player pool for that server. The operating costs for running a low-population server like Tormax are negligible, and serves a niche that would not be happy elsewhere. Enough of the "Stop playing in a way I don't like" snobbery. There should always be room for a traditional rulseset server. It doesn't matter if they've "done it before" if you weren't here "before".

@@vanman2099 I believe most people use low level mages at level 2 to complete the missions and use the coins to buy armor for the level 55 gear. Trade the keys to level two mage, do the missions, delete level 2 Mage after giving the items to the main, rinse and repeat. The tower quest and gear can be used on Teek.

@@vanman2099 The tower missions reward gear from all through the low levels, and every 10 level increments. I'm not sure where the gear STARTS, like if it's Req level 25 or what, but it goes up every 10 levels from there. So yeah they're totally worth doing on Teek - the gear, stat wise, is way out of era, and way too good.

I hear ya on the monk epic... I never finished it due to that and to this day, I have never wanted to play a monk again. It was my first character I had an identity to and I was left behind my friends because I wasn't hard core enough. I switched to a ranger to get a change and finished my 1.0 on them. F that camp. Great video on the server status.

Usually im all over tlps coulsnt wait to get onto teek what sucks is have had to put in an unreal amount of overtime at work so havnt even made toons yet. Ill 3 box i think and just chill. Just ordered another wireless number pad for my tablet ... hopefully work slows down soon lol

Have to say, Bard and Monk are absolutely the easiest classes to box without MQ, especially in early era TLP. /Autofollow your tank, /Melody the Bard, and /assist exactly once per mob. No MQ required. Every other box is going to take more thought and APM than monk+Bard

It's more about positioning for MQ, if you do the follow method then you have to run through with tank so they can be within melee range which sometimes doesn't turn out right on non-trivial mobs. Then if you're not field spree killing and want to setup a camp or using your tank to pull or run out at stuff and you got chars on follow it can get bad too.

That is still considered single keystrokes, since your making a single action per char. Programs like isboxer control all chars at once with mirrored key strokes. I use a program similar to yours to go box to box and never had an issue with it. It's actually nice using one keyboard/mouse

i dont play EQ, but i find your argument hypocritical as you admit to using programs that are banned while celebrating the shut down of another banned program. Yes, i am extremely experienced in multiboxing for almost 30 yrs now in many different games, simply watching your videos i can say i am far more advanced as a multiboxer,so i clearly understand the difference in botting and boxing, and your argument about the MQ program is flawed as it's not unattended botting as far as i can see, and not much different than mutliboxing. You say you boxing program "just replicates keystrokes", but any advanced boxer knows it's replicating keystrokes with assigned MACROS that can technically automate a complete set of strategies at once (and with hitpoint, mana, ect boundaries to recognize whether to apply the command or not) , ala dps, tank defense, healing, crowd control, ect which is hardly much different than preassigned strategies programmed into the MQ program. So no, i wouldnt call MQ program botting any more than i would call multiboxing botting, as long as the player is not afk. Both can be considered a bot if left afk, and yes multiboxing can be left afk botting with simple keyboard repeat functions. You should be less bias and understand that you are no different than MQ users, and that you go pretty far to get around the anti-cheat system. With all that said, i love to multibox, but i also hate cheating, so your channel is a love hate relationship for me.

Mitigation of the mighty does some serious number on them and they can’t be used to tank but you throw in a tank and more pets then but yes they’ve been hit hard
