I agree with your "rant." The feeling of being subjected to the whims of the algorithm, and the anxiety over analysis paralysis from choosing content to consume, has come at a great cost. whether it be a lack of attention span, misinformation, or an overall feeling of crappiness. I am a secondary school teacher and I noticed in the past few years that my students have stopped watching movies. Some told me that they don't have the attention span to focus on a movie for 90 minutes. I find this alarming.

Wondering who the maker of the knife slip with a pocket clip on it is. Couldn't find it in the list of gear etc

Enjoy your channel. Your comments on content were in my opinion, spot on. Personally, I rarely watch shorts on KZbin. I look through the channels I subscribe to to see if there are any actual videos I'm interested in and I occasionally try to find new channels that are interesting to me. I barely even open Instagram any more it just no longer appeals to me.

I couldn’t agree more about your rant. I’d rather watch someone really make something than a 30 second short of whatever you get feed. There are so many skill sets and improvements I’ve made from watching KZbin long form. It’s also way more relaxing the shorts model is all FOMO based, you better stay and watch then next one, just one more but has no value. Additionally I don’t think it’s sustainable for real creators, seems to have burnout built into the model. I’m sure it’ll move to generative ai soon, where the flood gates of unchecked stolen garbage are pumped into the system. With all that being said I think that’s why long form content will come back around. Most people I talk to aren’t happy with consuming short form, and they liked longer stuff. I think intentionality will also have sway over dollars spent, people lost in doom scrolling aren’t remembering ads or buying. And when they are it’s been wide swaths of scams, look at TikTok shops

by Taylor's logic a buck 110 is a slip joint because it requires two hands to open

That's not what I said at all. I presented a knife that IS a slip joint AND an liner lock. Also, it was mostly just poking fun

Hi Taylor, first things first I want to say I'm a huge fan of your work and for you to know I also was mostly poking fun, just wanted to open discussion. I'm just of the opinion that a slip joint by definition can't have a locking mechanism. @@BestDamnEDC

Spot on with the absolute over saturation of content available. Just in the knife world you can never try every great knife, not even talking about okay knives.
