The ending realization from Landelot when the fight is so unusually not in balance and he states, "you're not from this spoke on the wheel, are you?" is so masterfully aligned and written. He realizes it when the fight starts. Absolute perfection here in the story telling and the handling of a multiple reality/time travelling situation.

Im really interested to see where this series can go moving forward with Lanselot. I can see the final episode where the Ogre Battle actually happens making his character similar to Vyce when it comes to route splits. In Law: Lanselot can see the error of his ways, maybe because a certain someone who has been reborn as a divine perhaps, and returns to his old self and joins the player's army against the Ogres and Lodis I assume. In Neutral he can turn against them but dies because he does not join you and his death quote can reference regret. Then in Chaos he doubles down and turns into an ogre. There is so much they can do with Lans and I am excited.

See, I had imagined one myself - I called it "The Prophet's Song". Wherein the player would be revealed as a reincarnated Rashidi from Ogre Battle 64, albeit aged up with magic. It would have had three "main" route splits: Nether, Divine, and Man. If the player chose to side with the Ogres, Lanselot would be fought since, well, even HE has standards. As he is defeated... suddenly an angel called Lightbringer descends from the heavens, and grabs onto Lanselot's arms. Lanselot: "But... why? After everything I have..." He looks into Lightbringer's face. "No. It can't... Eleanor?!" If the player sides with neither ("Man"), Lightbringer tests the group... but once Lightbringer uses the ability "Star Tiara" against the player, Lanselot would say "Wait... that spell... I feel as though I have seen it before." Then in the ending, before Lightbringer leaves forever, Lanselot would appear and say "Wait! Lightbringer, before you leave, answer me this one question. Are you truly... her?" Lightbringer doesn't say anything, but gives one glance at Lanselot before ascending back to the heavens, and Lanselot would say nothing except a sad sound while his portrait has a tear from his eye. In the "Divine" ending, once the player surprised everyone and chose to side with the Divine, thus bringing about the Rule of the Divine, Lanselot will be standing over a cliff. He takes out his sword, says "...I guess I will have no need for this now...", then tosses it into the sea. LIghtbringer lands behind him. He turns around... then the scene fades, leaving it to the player's imagination what happens next.

Depends if you are willing to invest in charm farming or not honestly. If you have all 3 characters pumped up at 300+ in their main stats it becomes a complete joke

I just replayed the beginning, and Catiua says that there's no way the three of them can take down the Dark Knights Loslorien by themselves, and it made me laugh knowing how this battle asks you to do just that.

How come Alphonse know about the wheel(timeline) ? I kinda expect more of fight to the Ogres in post story game content. (What battle ogre when only few ogres around ? or they use tactic only send a few representatives.)

Perhaps because he had access to the Shaher angel's weapon he has knowledge and skill superior to the rest? To face the Ogres it is necessary to open the Chaos Gate so that they can leave the Abyss. A small correction. I just checked the dialogues during the fight and Tartaros suspects that we don't belong there because: 1- No reports from Lodis mentioned any relevant resistance forces there 2- It is impossible for someone as young as Denam to be causing casualties among the most elite knights in Lodis So he concluded that our presence there was not normal, but something outside the destiny of things.

Seems like this knowledge is more of the player than of the characters, and I'm inclined to say Tartaros's answer in this battle goes on this direction. I think it fits as gameplay-postgame challenge, but leaves doubts plot-wise.

After finishing the game and returning to the map, you must enter the Warren Report, it will have a new event available there if you have in your group: Catiua, Vyce, Canopus, Myrdin and Guilds. They are true challenges far superior to the main game.

I assume the Coda ending is not canon, that it is some mix of the lawful/chaos route (as not all things from the "perfect" ending in MotBQ match up to Canon, gotta kill Deneb, for example, but Canon is she joins). With that said, if this fight is not the end of the series (and how can it be with Lodis still powerful?), we need the final entry where it all comes to a head on that continent. Make this happen, Algebra Factory, make this happen.... Take my money, it's there, take it.

Pretty soon we'll be summoning Dr. Strange. Have they said which route they consider Canon? My kid theorizes that Cerya and Cistina, while not gained as an ally in Law route, end up on Lodis, and would appear in that game. The one we'll need a miracle to get....

Preparation is a small part of this challenge. It involves a LOT of luck, especially in the positioning of the enemies and having the right cards appear in the right places. I was lucky that Ozma charmed the character, I didn't know that they would surround him without attacking and he alone would gather the cards I needed. VERY LUCKY indeed.

@@WarrenReport yeah I had almost the exact same denam, down to the shoes, but Lightning element instead of dark, then I had dark priestess instead of princess Catiua. I'm interested if there are even cheesier ways to do the fight!

@@joshjulrich I tried with a more offensive Catiua dark priestess but the knights jumped on her. I thought of a lightning Denam because of the finisher, but since I was going to use crit+berserk it made more sense to potentiate the weapon's dark.

So last night I did the magnificent 12 battle. I will add that I did it with a full party because I knew that I wasn’t geared for denam/vyce/cat. After beating the fight, I did get ambicon at the end of the fight and I was shocked. I thought it was only with the 3 but doesn’t seem to be the case.

Maybe they made Ambition a mandatory drop available for the fight using the whole party? Because it could only drop from the bag that Tartaros drops, if he ran away and you still got the sword, that can only be the explanation!

@jesusbnks Yes, to be able to drop the special weapons of Tartaros you need to win the match only with the 3 main ones. Using the whole party is for you to drop the weapons of the other dark knights

Hi friend! He will die ONLY if you: -use only Denam, Catiua and Vyce in your team; -All of them MUST be alive at the end of the battle; -Tartaros MUST be the last oponent to be defeated, so you need to kill all the others DKs and templars BEFORE the final blow on Lanselot. Thats it. If you dont check all the above, he will always flee.

@@Rognus1 Yes, although his romance with Eleanor in KOL does not convince me at all, the point is that seeing the death of the woman he liked in exchange for the salvation of humanity, which he closely followed the rot of greed for power, makes him lose faith in people and turn into Tartaros. Something tells me that him having the angel's sword might have something to do with it, but that's all my guess.

I had such a hard time using my full team of 12, and really wanted to try this challenge but was worried it would be too hard :/ Just farming Ozma's rose whip was super rough, would love to attempt Ambicion someday. Great video my dood, as always your ogre is unmatched. Truly the ending that the game deserved. Hamilton and Canopus are the best chads, and I can't imagine the game any other way.

Understood, was just curious if the epilogue had some other condition I had accidentally fulfilled. My build was a little different to yours, my trio had much lower stats. I used Ogre set + Phalanx/Berserk/Sanguine/DoubleImpact on Denam w/ 3 Auto cards, and I had Vyce and Catiua run around the edge to the raised area opposite where they couldn't be reached. Dark Priest Catiua picked off half the units while Denam did the others, always making sure he was never within 9 tiles of Lanselot lest he be devolved. Was surprised to see you didn't use Phalanx, as it made Denam indestructible for me.

@@aeary_ While I was practicing I did some tests using Phalanx, but I realized that with the status and equipment of my Denam physical damage was not relevant, magic attacks were much more dangerous and that's why I preferred to put the skill of nullifying 3 spells. Also with Phalanx you are unable to counterattack, and every Denam counterattack is almost a free attack, I couldn't miss that. But your build looks interesting, I was curious to see how it worked!

To kill him you must use ONLY the main trio in this fight (Denam, Catiua and Vyce), kill ALL other enemies and Tartaros must be the last one to be defeated. Any one of these conditions you don't meet he will run away in the end.

@@Pangi54 Obviously, because you'll only have the 3 in your party, you can't summon anyone else. I remembered another requirement: NONE of the 3 main protagonists can be defeated in this battle. So remembering: just summon Denam, Catiua and Vyce, none of them can be defeated, defeat all enemies leaving Tartaros for last.

@@zpanish Yes, I needed to put all the charms on him because I needed the most resilient character possible to withstand all of Lodis' troops. Int and ment charms were all for Catiua, to maximize the damage to those who went after her. And Vyce as support, protecting Catiua while remaining invisible to the rest.

Are you trying to defeat with only the 3 characters? If that's the case, you'll need to empower yourself. Best weapons, armor, spells, items... I suggest you drop the Ogre Set on POTD. Unleash the Lord class for Denam. Buff Denam with all Charms gained during POTD travels with the exception of INT, MND and MAX HP. Use these on Catiua to maximize her damage with ranged spells. Go in search of the lvl 2 summons, it is the best spell mainly to take down the commanders in this phase. You can use the Reeking Set on Vyce, making him invisible and using him as a barrier in the stage to force enemies to follow only one path. That's basically the way I did it and I think it's the easiest. More hardcore players will have other strategies, but it's a good place to start. Have fun!

I've tried and tried but Tartaros keeps getting cured back to health (not to mention his def is already high to begin). I think I hit a big wall here that I might not ever beat.
