I was around 13 when I started playing 2k19 MyTEAM now I’m 17 and have never had a worse experience, every year I had at least 500-750 hours on MyTEAM and loved the mode more than anything on 2k. What they have done with this mode is truly sad and sickening, I will continue to play because it is basically the only game I enjoy out of it. I’ve been watching DBG, HTB, and Killzamoi just about the whole time and seeing the decline in the channels is very sad and makes me realize how dead the mode is becoming.

I've played since the Dreamcast and I didn't think it could get worse than 2k18 but here we are... I stopped playing 18 in October and I'm done playing 24 now... Sad that a game has been out for 25 years and its this bad.

The crazy thing DBG is that 2K is MORE predatory than the mobile gacha game style you mentioned. Those games have NORMALIZED a pity system for the FEATURED units. Aka in something like Genshin that 100 overall shaq or Kareem would have a limit of pulls up to 180 (where by the 90th you would get a gauranteed 5 star equal to the featured unit or standard banner and we could equate that to galaxy opals) On top of the fact those gacha games have a SYSTEM for pulling duplicates that make the characters stronger and provide different benefits. 2K is not only a gambling only gacha game but it is the WORST gacha game you could play 😂😂😂😂😂

Am new to NBA 2K to help keep my son interested in basketball when he can't get in a gym and learn tactics in a virtual setting. The gameplay and complexity of player movement is pretty good. The game is great for that, but you're not wrong about the online god squads and bad attitudes. I have to mute the mic and speaker whenever I play it. It's toxic AF but is prolly result of people frustrated with the game. I enjoy making Ruby & Sapphire squads, masochistic tendencies (guilty.) Regardless I appreciate you and TyDeBo (though still can't understand his intro) as it helps me learn what the top end fellas are doing. Thanks for the more experienced opinion, as it helps me warn my son about the game's monetary design. Awareness is everything. Keep it up.

I knew about 2 months of playing myteam i wasn't going to be on it long, it's just to much work and time to keep up and eventually it became boring and i wasn't having any fun in the mode!

And the fact that they don't make the free cards overpowered. What happened to free cards on the triple threat boards. In the vaults. They shut down the auction house and control the market . Very strategic what they did.

Still cheaper and certainly more controlled for me than gambling in the real world... Compulsive gambling is a bad bad addiction and it can get anyone regardless of age, sex, religion, color....it is truly open to anyone to catch !!!

Ex player here, I quit in February 2023 and theres no way Im going back. I'm glad that Jaz finally came to terms with how awful myteam is, and was the last few years. Too little too late however. He hid his head in the sand and simped for 2k when He could've actually used his voice to try and influence change. The streets remember Jaz.

Im not as good as you guys, after getting smashed for 1 and half quarters i am not having fun anymore so i stop playing, cross the half court over and over and just wait it out. I want the prizes from unlimited since all the other modes suck compared to it, and i paid for the game and have spent probably 120 throughout the year so no im not going to stop playing, i will get my money worth one way or another. If you have faced someone who wont quit. Be sure to let 2k know that its not fun when someone doesn't want to play anymore but cannot quit. If you actually agree with 2k on this sportsmanship crap, let me see if i can change your mind. Can you tapout in MMA?

Great reaction video, I agree with your thoughts on MyTeam and MyCareer. It's disappointing how the game has become more about gambling and pay-to-win over time. The toxic community is also disheartening. I really miss the fair and enjoyable experience of earlier 2K games like NBA 2K20. I’m giving Play Now Online a chance before signing the TOS. Keep up the great work!

Yes it started as card collecting and playing against someone else.... Cause back in the day if we played against someone they had to be in the same room... And now we can play against someone around the world... 2k has always been greedy but they've gone to an extreme now after the Ben Simmons Unsellable cards last year.

The whole point is that there were people that CHOSE to gamble and they saw insane in game returns for cards they did not want. The quick sell is a joke for these cards that would’ve went for millions of MT. With that in mind there was a small percentage of people gambling and they reaped much greater rewards compared to the whole community being FORCED to gamble and then when you pull 7 Shawn Marions you have to sell them for the price of a 10 box or less when you just bought a 20 box with no guarantee of pulling anything of the same worth. Nah, it is different than going to a casino because in a casino you could actually win something TANGIBLE lol. These cards are harder to hit than a hard six on the craps table and they literally have no real world value. Honestly, they don't even hold the "fun factor" value in-game for more than a couple weeks at best. This is what makes it so insane to me...

The game was dead when auction house if was my favorite thing I made over 10 mil last year which is insane you can't make that now if you play 1000 hours I got that from flipping cards buying a card for 500 and selling 700k had 2 Yao bought for 1 mil and sold for 2.2 now you can't even get best cards we need to stop spending money until auction house back it better be back in 25
