I think very many people are pack striking already, at least from what I read. The problem is that there is a small percentage of the player base that spends thousands of dollars on the game, just play some Unlimited and you’ll know what I mean. But the content is catered to the kind of players

That would lose them even more money than the player market did. At this point their whole model is VC gambling or bust. They would rather only make money off of the fewer people buying VC, than cater to people who spend no money. If you don't purchase microtransactions, you no longer matter to 2k. It's over for NMS players having the best cards. The game has gone full mobile game loot box strategy and they won't just accept making less money to give us a better game mode.
