@@ogre589 don’t know what Metal Hellsinger is, but yes. The normal theme for smithy and the chain/percussion theme of smithy are different by the first 5 seconds. Really recommend listening to both, as they’re both spectacular pieces.

Its a metal heads dream as many big and small singers were brought on to provide vocals for the songs including Randy Blythe of Lamb of God and Serj Tankien of System of a Down. You get the full song after reaching a 16x multiplier and you get that by playing the game better.

So Brent, lemme explain about Geno Whirl vs Exor, the sword boss: Only his eyes and mouth are considered an actual boss. The skull handle at the top is considered a normal enemy, and since Geno Whirl does 9,999 damage to non-Boss enemies if timed right, this is why you can cheese the battle. It's not a glitch, it's just how they coded it in both the original and remake. Hope this helps!

I didn't realize at first, but the Weapon bosses are named after actual weapons now. Which makes more sense now. Claymore = Claymorton Bow = Bowyer Spear = Speardovich Axe = Axem Rangers

Yeah, Claymortons old name Mack was a reference to the song "Mack the Knife" Yaridovich got his name from a "Yari" a traditional japanese spear. And Exors reference is only visible when you know his japanese name Kariba which combined are a reference to Excalibur. The remake just makes the references more pronounced.

Technically speaking, the Exor thing isn't a bug. I've heard it explained two different ways, but it comes out mostly the same either way. 1. Exor's pommel has two programmed immunities. One to damage overall, and the normal boss immunity to Geno Whirl. When the mouth is downed, both immunities are removed simultaneously, meaning that Exor's pommel can be one-shot freely. 2. The immunity to Geno Whirl is granted by a "boss" flag placed manually on enemies. For some reason, Exor's mouth has the boss flag, but its pommel doesn't, so it's technically not a boss. So, any time the pommel can be damaged, it can be one-shot.

I’m so happy that they kept the instant kill for Exor, though I can’t say I’m not disappointed that we didn’t get some extra cutscene where the skull gets cut off or something. Seeing something like that would be so cool! Also, in case you don’t know remakes of games aren’t usually made by the original team. So what usually happens is they just use the original coding with no questions asked. The biggest example of this is the dying soldier in the back alley of castle town in Ocarina of Time. Nobody knows much about the lore behind him, not even the remake team, yet they kept him in anyway. With that, I can only assume that that move we supposed to instant kill Exor in the original and give some kind of instant kill animation but the program wasn’t powerful enough to do that yet, and now that it is, they just kept it in with no changes because they unfortunately don’t know much about the original dev team’s plan for the game

Exor in the original isn't supposed to be weak to Geno Whirl. His Protection gimmick wrongly removes Exor's Boss Immunity and makes him weak to EVERYTHING since it removes any buff the Handle hass outside of it's base stats. Exor should have his Boss status and thus, be inmune, but an oversight also makes his Protection remove it. Unintended behavior but remarkable enough to be remembered. The remake changes it to make the Handle weak to the Whirl itself.

So, a fun fact about Geno Whirl working on Exor: supposedly, the code was looked at for the boss fight in the original and it seems like its completely intended to work on Exor if his left eye is knocked out. How true this is, I'm unsure. I just heard about it randomly, so take it with a grain of salt, I guess.

You're forced to fight Exor right after defeating Boomer, so it's two bosses back to back, so it wouldn't surprise me the exploit was done on purpose

Protection Gimmick removes any Buffs and immunities that Exor has, including those that normal Bosses have to be inmune to the Whirl. It does not matter if one eye or both are down. Unintended behavior, since the Protection should only make Exor vulnerable to damage. It was kept likely because it was memorable and to avoid messing up player's muscle memory.

Yeah blocking magic attacks, timed hits doing aoe, and swapping party members in mid battle all made the game easy. Not that the OG was that difficult to begin with I swear though i never struggled with the timed hits on attacks in the original but I never got consistent in this version Btw do you know why mario doesnt do the peace sign anymore?

Beat this game a few days ago. Fantastic game overall, feel like it is a little over hyped, but yeah no major complaints. I think the difficulty is well balanced. The music is amazing and game looks beautiful. Love the characters and overall it’s just a fun time. Happy to see this game got a remake. Next big Mario is TTYD remake, wonder how over hype that game is gonna be thanks to the internet.

So for Cloaker and Domino, it just matters on difficulty. Domino is tougher on round 2 than Cloaker. If you have lazy shell then it doesnt matter who you choose. But Domino has much more deadly magic when he is the one still alive

king of skill here is major item that you missed in Super Mario RPG the frying pan. The frying pan is peach's strongest weapon in the game which is more stronger than the super slap weapon, to obtain it you must ask that toad person in the movile shop where the frying pan is called metal plate which becomes availably after obtaining the sixth star and defeating the axem rangers.
