I didn't think they were that bad a team, it's just that mallow is not as good a healer as peach, and nothing was as broken as geno could be so...worst by default. They were a good offensive party, just swapping geno in made it a better offensive party.

​@FFKonoko fair and understandable. Just saying from personal experience and what I've seen, people defaulted to Peach and Geno for longevity, high damage, buffs, and AOE control. Bowser and Mallow got AOE too, but I think it's because of the non elemental attacks of Geno hitting harder is why folks used him along side Peach for lots of healing.

I do love how each of the Triple Moves have their own advantages without a single one being completely game breaking. Between that and the swap system they have, I really found the fights engaging in the remake and each party member really feels like they're very well worth having along in the fights. Brent! You’ll want to try and get 30 consecutive jumps with super jump, and then maybe try for 99 if you’re feeling bold enough to try! There’s a trick you can do to make the timing easier, and it’s to watch the shadows of Mario and the enemy instead of Mario himself. Just wait until the shadows touch then press A, it really genuinely helps with the timing!

So Yaridovich's name was changed because Yari is just the Japanese word for Spear, so he basically was never translated in the original like the other weapon bosses. Every other weapon boss has a pun in its name, so he needed to follow suit. Same deal with Mack since not everybody would get the Mack the Knife refence, but they likely know that a claymore is a type of sword, thus Claymorton.

The triple moves are exclusive to the remake. Btw, Bowser now has an actually usable niche in reducing physical damage as his passive, and best triple move with Mario and Mallow because it hits any fire/thunder/ice based weakness (and probably ignores resistances)

Honestly I found myself wearing the work pants mostly for the whole game, only swapping out peach’s with the lazy shell armor to give her massive defense since I just used her for heals and revives. Pairing her with mallow’s chain buff also ups her magic attack giving her more healing power to compensate for the lazy shell’s attack drop. And mallow tended to be an AOE monster with the fp drop badge. Lightning storms, falling snowmen, and Star falls for practically free. On top of a full party heal team attack it practically was my go to set up more often then not. And even mallow’s weakness coverage is actually very useful as well.

The Reason Clown Copter Barrage does so much damage, is because the Attack counts as a Fire/Ice/Shock attack; which means it deals Weakness damage to anyone weak to these types. And weakness damage was MASSIVELY buffed in the remake. So, Clown Copter Barrage absolutely wrecks anyone with an elemental weakness. In fact, Mallow is ridiculously strong in the remake; any enemy with an elemental weakness to Ice or Shock cannot handles his moves. Also, Bowser's Specials not only got buffed, but their negative effects are much more useful. Poison Gas can poison enemies, and it actually deals good damage. Also, Terrorize can inflict the Fear Status on enemies.

I can definitely understand why so many people loved this game in '96 the soundtrack is amazing, I can see where the ground work was layer for both Mario RPG series, and its overall just fun, I only wish they can update the game and implement a New Game + mode cause I really don't want to do the 100 jumps...again (also maybe open Nintendo and Square Enix's eyes to sell the rights of Geno and Mallow to Nintendo and for Nintendo to put them in other games)

5:04 I'm surprised that you can rotate the control stick faster than me. I wish I could rotate it as fast as you. Because when I did a no weapons challenge of this game my analog rotating became terrible when I did Mallow's snowy special move. But it still a ton of damage either way for me. Probably because I gave Mallow magic attack bonuses every time he leveled up on top of equipping the work pants on him as well as everyone else throughout most of the run. Since I had plenty of Party Bracers and Energizers when I got to Smithy I used the party of Mario, Mallow, and Peach on the final boss instead of Geno just because they had high special attack. And that really paid off with Smithy's tank head on his second form due to it being weak to electric moves. Such that I didn't need those Ice or Fire Bombs or Rock Candies after all aside from using that particular Ice Bomb on the final hit on Smithy as soon as he switched to the safe head even though I had to to avoid using the shredder on my party. Overall even for a no weapons playthrough even Smithy is nothing but a joke if you truly know what you're doing! Here is my final party when I faced Smithy: Mario with the Work Pants and Attack Scarf Mallow with the Work Pants and Feather Peach with the Work Pants and Safety Ring Note: Also I didn't allow myself to use the lazy shell armor or the super suit just for the sake of a further challenge. But even Smithy was still nothing but a joke either way. I will not be doing the post-game though or any of the culex fights because I know they're going to gobble up many of the items I obtained throughout the game.
