Relying on hardware to sell software and subscriptions isn't really viable anymore. Because the console market has reached saturation and they are selling to the same people over and over again. Microsoft is basically trying to reach new people by bringing the software everywhere. And Cloud plays a huge part of that. It also helps that they own the largest gaming franchises ever created. I think Black Ops 6 will be a huge indication of whether this works long term.

Não tenho dúvidas que jogos na nuvem são o futuro. Moro no Brasil e um console de nova geração no meu país tem um custo muito alto. O que é fora da realidade da maioria dos brasileiros. O último console que comprei foi Ps4, e não migrei para o ps5, pois encontrei no cloud game uma solução para jogar jogos de nova geração, de forma mais barata. Sou fã de jogos na nuvem e a qualidade melhora a cada dia🎉.

I've gamed on console since they were invited. I'm a very old gamer. I bought my first gaming PC 2 months ago and I am never going back to console. Console has out grown games and gaming.

But how much did your gaming PC compare to the price of a console I suspect the price was double or more the price of the console.I built my own gaming PC years ago but the cost then was getting horrendous and the components were outdated rather quick that's the reason I went to consoles.I am like you a very old nearly 72yr old gamer been playing video games since day one.

In my opinion what they need to do now is get it out of beta and make it stable and in 4K and with a streaming only subscription in 4K you can play any game even those purchased previously

So much potential with cloud gaming for XBox. But slow dragging their feet has really hurt it. Lack of 4k, not being able to play games outside of Game Pass, going a whole year without any major game releases like 2022, losing ABK cloud rights to their own platform (embarrassing). Losing ABK cloud rights is reason enough for a change of leadership.

I have switched to cloud gaming, first with Stadia and now with GFN, XCloud and Boosteroid. I can't imagine ever going back to owning a console or a gaming PC. It all works really well and I have mote than enough choice of games to play

I have a very fast Internet connection (1GB/sec), and I still hate the latency of cloud gaming.

Latency primarily comes down to how far you are from a datacenter. Where do you live and what service are you using?

@@CloudGamingBattle In the Netherlands. The data server is pretty close. But still, the difference is noticeable gaming in the cloud or gaming directly from PC or console. I primarily game @4k res, even on my laptop.

Yea 4K encoding and decoding is more labor intensive than 1080p which adds to the latency. Devs are still trying hard to make their streams as fast as possible. It should get better over time.

Personally when it comes to Cloud Gaming, I'm someone who prefers using my own hardware, I don't pay 1.2k for a gaming PC just to use Boosteroid, I really do feel that it could be the future, but right now with internet speeds and how exploitable some services are I don't think it's coming that soon

Of course not now. As stated in the video, it’s only 6% of the gaming industry. It’s projected to be much bigger in about 10 years. This is why Microsoft is preparing now. They are currently building more Datacenters around the world to accomplish this.

Microsoft couldn't really buy Sony because they blew most of their merger acquisition load. They had 130 billion set aside for mergers and acquisitions. If you subtract Activision and all the other companies that they had there's not a lot of money left for mergers and acquisitions. And now they have to feed all these companies. The feeding of the companies is why you're seeing a lot of layoffs. I'm pretty sure that we're going to see a lot of their money now being invested towards cloud infrastructure which is going to be expensive.

Just an advice, I'd recommend following Asmongold's format for reaction videos, that tiny facecam at the bottom is almost invisible so you could incorporate it as a part of the video, just increases the viewer immersion.
