The Ottoman Empire's decision to join forces with the Central Powers during World War I was a crucial moment in the conflict. As one of the largest and most powerful empires in the world at the time, the Ottomans played a significant role in shaping the course of the war. However, their alliance with Germany and Austro-Hungary ultimately led to their downfall, as the Ottoman army found itself facing off against the powerful British Empire.
In the aftermath of World War I, the Ottoman Empire found itself at the mercy of the victorious Allied powers. The Treaty of Sèvres, which sealed the empire's fate, effectively dismantled the Ottoman state and redistributed its territories among the victors. The Middle East was carved up into British and French spheres of influence, with little regard for the Ottoman Empire's previous boundaries or cultural and religious diversity.
For the Kurds, who had hoped for independence in the aftermath of the war, the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire was a bitter disappointment. While the Treaty of Sèvres held out the prospect of autonomy, the reality was far more complex. The Kurds found themselves scattered across multiple countries, with no clear path to independence. Over the years, they have continued to struggle for self-determination, often facing repression and violence at the hands of the governments of various Middle Eastern countries that emerged from the ruins of the Ottoman Empire.
Despite the fact that the Ottoman Empire no longer exists, its legacy continues to shape the political and cultural landscape of the Middle East. The events of World War I and the subsequent dismantling of the Ottoman state remain a key part of the region's collective memory, and the Ottomans themselves are still remembered as a significant force in the history of the Middle East.

The video talks about the Anatolian/Ottoman Greeks facing hardships by coming to a country with the same language but different culture as lived in Ottoman Empire. This was the mutual ethnic exchange agreed upon between Turkey and Greece. The video says nothing about the Turkish ethnics who left Greece and Bulgaria and came to the newly created Turkish Republic and their hardships. The video does not show an even, non-biased, and fair presentation of the events. The video delivers a better discussion of the events. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqWZlK1vq7Shgs0

@@alperenborklu4005 his referring to king Constantine, but he is completely incorrect since the British supported him during ww2 and his successor during the Civil War that followed The Greek royal family had blood ties with the British one King's Charles grandfather was literally smuggled by the royal navy out of Greece to avoid execution When the loyal family was expelled from the country The real reason why they pulled out is that they got what they wanted in Middle East - from their perspective there was no reason to continue the war

48:00 I noticed that this video channel tends to white wash history a lot. In this video they claim the Kurds routed ISIS. That's a lie. IS tore through Iraq and other Arab countries and the Kurds got the brakes beaten off of them. It wasn't until Obama sent US forces back in to back up Iraq and the Kurds...again, they were able to beat back IS. They did not do it themselves and they could not. In another video they talk about the USSR's road to Berlin, but instead of demonizing the Nazis, they only focused on the Soviet's destruction and treated the Nazis as poor guys who just wanted to give up, but the Soviets wouldn't let them. 🙄🙄

Your biggest challenge is that not everyone in the community wants to sleep with both eyes open. Especially when they see others in pro-Bandit countries sleeping with only one eye open 🤨.

Mr Gerwarth, I can totally say that your lack of knowledge in some intricate matters pushes you to make some "guesses" which might seem logical to someone who doesn't know a subject deeply enough. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk wasn't racist or really a "nationalist" in the meaning that we use today. He provided equal rights to all ethnic minorities, managed reforms, provided woman rights just to name a few. If you mention 1 million replaced Greeks, you have to mention over 400 thousand Turks that were replaced from Greece today to Turkey.

It is rich that a German, who's country is largely responsible for two World Wars holds the moral compass. The impression is it was the Arabs beat the Turks, but only about 30,000 took up arms. It was British Empire armies in the Middle East, Palestine (1,650,000) and Iraq (890,000) that defeated the Turks, America joined the Allies with the first troops arriving in France May 1917, but Pershing's army sat on its butt in France until June 1918 when the war was all but over.

This maniacal racist, later in WW2 famined millions of Indians from Bengal, arsoned civilian Germans. And later in peacetime in 1950-55 cold bloodedly had scores of thousands of Kenyans butchered that was on par in sheer cruelty with anyone else in history like Idi Amin & dozens of his sort. @flashgordon6670
@flashgordon6670 Жыл бұрын
Cultures adapt, assimilate each other and evolve. So your conclusion is false, bc any single culture, is in fact a group of micro cultures that interplay and interact with each other. There is no single pure culture, in the world today. All cultures are untwined and interdependent with others, to greater or lesser degrees. That’s how cultures and societies progress and survive. The ones that go extinct, are bc they either, try to be too pure and so make too many enemies. Or ones that become absorbed and assimilated into others, by being too open to outsiders and other cultures. But in reality, often doing things for a certain purpose, has the opposite effect. Cultures that are extremely open and intermingle with others, may become diluted and or polluted by others. But they also have the same effect on those that they intermingled with. So there’s a trade off and a balance to strike, for all partners to be happy. Cultures that are too insular and shun outsiders and mingling, can become subjected to the whims of large empires, through wars and politics. Such is the case with the Middle East tribes and with the ancient Gauls, Britons, Celts and the Indian tribes in the USA. Sometimes by trying to help the super powers of the day and by allying with them to expel another, it backfires. Such was the case for Israel, who helped Rome to become the superpower of the ancient world. Bc Greece was ruling over Israel and oppressing the Jew’s culture. Then the Romans came and occupied Palestine and oppressed the Jews, even worse than the Greeks had done. Eventually the Romans destroyed Israel and took the population into captivity. But after nearly 2000 years in exile, dispersed among the gentile nations, the Jews returned to their land. All this was foretold by the prophet Ezekiel, in chapter 37 of his book in the Bible and in many places in the Old Testament. The Zionist movement, was the fulfilling of the prophecies that God had revealed, through the Old Testament prophets. Only God’s guiding hand on world affairs, could have brought this impossibility about. What if the Ottoman Empire had stayed neutral in WW1, or sided against Austria-Hungary, an old enemy of the Ottoman Empire? It was a war that the Ottoman Empire, didn’t really need to be involved in. It was only bc Germany, was misleading the Ottomans into war that the Ottoman Empire joined in. Had the Ottoman Empire refused to join in the war, perhaps Germany and by extension Austria-Hungary, wouldn’t have been so emboldened, to fight a war against the entente allies. It was the revolution in Russia that stimulated many of the Jews there, to begin the Zionist movement, to return to Palestine and the restoration of Israel. Had the Ottoman Empire not joined the central alliance with Germany and Austria-Hungary, the revolution in Russia, may never have even happened. Then Germany’s defeat and the signing of the treaty of Versailles, was largely blamed on the Jews and so started their persecution in the run up and during WW2. Which really gave impetus and desperation to the Zionist movement, culminating in the 1948 restoration of Israel. We could go even further back in time, to the causes of WW1 and the wars of the 19th Century that led to the state of geopolitics that caused WW1 to happen. Namely the Franco Prussian and Crimean wars. Then there was the unification of Germany, the Napoleonic wars and formation of Austria-Hungary that all set the foundation of the stage for WW1 and by extension WW2. We could go back all the way to Charlemagne and the treaties that his heirs made that created the early French and German entities and all the events since then. We could also look East to the Mongols, the Huns and the Vikings. Who all played their parts in creating, Russia and Austria-Hungary. All these major events and many others, could’ve taken innumerable alternate paths that could’ve led to Israel, not being restored. Only a divine guiding hand, could’ve orchestrated it. I rest my case and I hope this helps.

To The victors go the spoils. You can hear the woke guilt of these commentators: racism racism. We won. We had the power. That’s not racism. It is sensible pragmatism. To accuse these men of baser motives is revision and wokeism. Anytime you defeat an opponent you naturally puff yourself up….I’m better, smarter, etc. The losing opponent will always feel lesser and complain…crying victim and often assigning baser motives: racism, greed, hate…blah blah.

This is the End time beast mentioned in the Bible particularly in the Book of Daniel and Revelation both prophesied about the revival of an empire which was before and will again rise to be the vassal for The Antichrist. Interestingly enough also in the Islamic eschatology believes that the spirit of Muhammad will descend on a man that will rise to power and brings forth the former glory of the ISlamic Caliphate and he is widely known as AL MAHDI. The region spoken of as the place where this Antichrist and the Beast shall reign is in the region originally known as JAVAN (instead of modern interpretation as *Greece) as place where Gog (Chief Prince/Leader) and Magog (Asia Minor region) which is modern day TURKEY and her surrounding 10-40 window neighbours that encompasse the former Soviet nations and Iran, Iraq, Syria and into Egypt which interestingly enough the regions which the Islamic and Ottoman empire once ruled over. There will be a drastic changing coming soon as the TREATY OF LAUSSANE will come to end in midst of 2023 after a 100 years truce between the Allied forces and the former Islamic-Turkish empire in the early 1900s.
